In this stunning bridge book between Cress and Winter in the bestselling Lunar Chronicles, Queen Levana’s story is finally told.
Mirror, mirror on the wall,
Who is the fairest of them all?
Fans of the Lunar Chronicles know Queen Levana as a ruler who uses her “glamour” to gain power. But long before she crossed paths with Cinder, Scarlet, and Cress, Levana lived a very different story – a story that has never been told . . . until now.
Marissa Meyer spins yet another unforgettable tale about love and war, deceit and death. This extraordinary book includes full-color art and an excerpt from Winter, the next book in the Lunar Chronicles series.
I expected to understand Levana and how she became so diabolical but I guess, I still don't. She's rotten down to the core and this book made me hate her even more. She's twisted, she's crazy, she's assuming, she's vengeful, she's selfish, she's greedy, and she makes the best villain ever!
I can't believe anyone could be so wretched and cruel; even if granted that Channary abused her when she was young. But still, since Channary messed with her brain, it could have affected how she thinks in present. She was so full of herself thinking Evret liked her and she was more fitting to be a queen than Channary was. Lastly, I can't even wrap my head around the fact that she killed her niece just because she believed that she was/is the best queen for Luna. Self-centered and self-assured much?
