Before the world knew me as a rock god, I was just the angry boy who stole her heart.
She was a good girl.
The forbidden fruit I wasn't meant to taste.
Our stars were crossed, and fate had doomed us from the start.
She was promised to someone else.
I had her secret smiles.
Moments stolen in dark corners.
But I couldn't have her future.
Destiny tore us apart, and all that remained was the ghost of her memory.
When she died, I did too.
But when I catch a glimpse of her five years later, alive and well, that love turns to hate as the bitter truth emerges.
She left me.
She lied.
And now, I'm going to make her pay.

Wanted You More is a heartbreaking story about love, loss and finding yourself. It shows you the different type of grief, self sabotage and trying to navigate your way through this thing call life. It's a raw look at how despite what people say, time doesn't heal all wounds.
After surviving a mass shooting at the age of eight that also claimed the life of her mother, Austen Cole has been trying to get back to a sense of normalcy. Even though it's been almost a decade, she still hasn't found it and sometimes that means exploring bad habits. Despite all of those things Austen knows that she has a good support system around her including Noah and even though their relationship is complex, he knows the real her. Flaws and all.
This story started off with a gut punch that just gave you an immediate sinking feeling and I was practically praying for something lighter after reading the prologue. This author has no problem reeling you in and ripping off a band aid full force and I really like that about her writing. The issue(s) that I had with this story was that I felt like no progress was made with the main character. I completely understood her struggle and her pain was real and so raw but the self sabotage was a bit too much. There was no growth until practically the final chapter and I didn't want that. I wanted to see the evolution of this character going from someone who was hurting and down to knowing her worth and being more than a survivor.
I know that this was a slow burn romance but I also wanted to feel a better connection between the main characters. It felt like they were friends the entire time and I didn't feel the passion or the longing that they had for each other and I needed to feel more.
Despite that, I think that if you're looking for slow burn emotional romance, then this one's for you.

𝐓𝐡𝐞 𝐅𝐫𝐨𝐬𝐭 𝐓𝐨𝐮𝐜𝐡𝐞𝐝 𝐐𝐮𝐞𝐞𝐧 (The Winter Queen Duet Book 1) by USA Today bestselling author Ivy Fox is LIVE! Don’t miss this why choose, enemies to lovers, royal romance!
From the USA Today Bestselling Author Ivy Fox comes a new angsty romance filled with mystery and intrigue, revenge, and a thick web of secrets and lies ready to be disentangled.
“The king is dead. Long live the Winter Queen in the north!”
Unfortunately, those jubilant shouted-out wishes over my role as queen of the Kingdom of Aikyam were short-lived.
All because three pesky kings stand in my way.
King Levi in the east.
King Teodoro in the south.
And the rebel king in the west, Atlas.
They want my crown.
My throne.
My birthright.
So instead of trying to dismantle their plots to overthrow me, I do the unexpected.
I offer up marriage instead.
A trap of my own making that will ensure I remain on top.
Because, make no mistake, there can only be one ruler in this kingdom—me.
*The Touched Frost Queen is a #whychoose, enemies to lovers, royal romance.
*This is the first book in the duet – The Winter Queen.
*Recommended 18+ due to mature language and situations.
I went into this story knowing that it was going to be a somewhat dark read and having being an enemies to lovers story. I started the first chapter and I immediately stopped reading because there was an intense feeling that I was missing something with this couple. Turns out that I was right because there was another book that started their journey and I'm so glad that I read that one first because I would've been lost!!
The Land Where Sinners Love is a follow up to The Land Where Sinners Atone and we're back in the lives of Phoenix and Zachary King. After going through heartbreaking and tumultuous events one after the other, Kings are now happier than ever and enjoying the expansion of their family. But when Phoenix gets called to help with a murder case, past memories comes back to haunt her and everyone she loves could be at risk.
After reading the first book and seeing that it was more intense than this one, I really liked the fact that we got to see a bit more family time in this one. Even though Zachary and Phoenix each had their own careers and were constantly busy, they made their family a priority and set rules so they could spend more time with each other and I loved that. I wanted to see more of the business conflicts that were arising because I felt like that was pushed to the side fairly quickly and I also wanted more background into certain things.
Overall I think that this was a good conclusion to Zach and Phoenix’s story and I cannot wait for King of Heartbreak. I have a strong feeling that this author is going to bring it in that one. If you’re looking for a sexy dark thriller duet, you should give this one a try.
We Will Reign by Rachel Leigh is now live and free with Kindle Unlimited!
Enrolling at BCU was supposed to be my chance at freedom.
An escape from my parents who insist I follow in their footsteps as a Guardian of the Society.
Keep the members safe—that’s what I’m supposed to do.
But how can I safeguard the students when I can’t even protect myself?
Someone has been watching me.
His eyes burn into my soul like a branding iron. At night, he haunts my dreams and transforms them into nightmares.
And sometimes when I wake, he’s there.
Standing at the foot of my bed in awe of my existence.
He isn’t the one I fear most, though.
There are others who have their eyes on me, too.
Only their obsession runs deeper than Ridge’s and I fear if I fall under their thumbs, I won’t make it out of here alive.
There once was a sicko who lurked in the mist.
He preyed on my soul baring a closed iron fist.
His stare made me itch while his eyes locked me under his spell.
But taking his hand may be my only escape from this hell.
Well I have more questions than when I started this book!! I need answers, a drink and for someone to tell me straight to my face that everything is going to be OK. I know that things are going to get messy because judging by the anxiety that I'm feeling right now, it's about to go down in book 2 and I'm not prepared for it.
Best friends Remi and Aspen have been by each other's side since childhood. Their bond is something that they truly cherish and knowing that nothing and no one can disrupt that is what makes them love each other even more. But for Aspen, taking a trip back home is going to rattle her bones a bit because the one person that she despises, is also the one that she can never truly get away from. What happens when your best friend's brother is also your love enemy?
I honestly had no idea how this story was going to go when I first started reading it but I braced myself still. I saw early on how things were going to play out and I was on board for it despite me having a few choice words for one of the characters. I loved seeing their evolution and that had me rooting for them all the way even though I knew that things were going to change drastically.
What I was not prepared for was that ending. I felt like I was sucker punched by the rock!! The emotions that I felt towards the end had me wishing I had a blood pressure monitor because there's no way this author left it like that. What happens now? Will there be a reunion? Who's going to truly get their heart broken? What other secrets are there? All of these questions and I'm hoping for ALL of the answers in book 2.
If you're looking for a best friend love triangle romance, then I recommend you try this one.
Please note: This is a duet and it ends on a cliffhanger.
