New Release+ Review: To All The Guys I Killed Before by Sara Whitney

    August 24, 2026

    TROPES ✨

    🔪 Murder as Meet Cute

    🤣 Dark Comedy

    👀 Surveillance as Love Language

✌🏻 Secret Identities / Dual Identities

    😍 He Falls First

🖤 Morally Dark Heroine and Hero

    Blurb:

Rue Bellamy thinks I'm the most boring man alive, and I intend to keep it that way.

As long as my sweet-faced neighbor never sees past my beige cardigans and passionate opinions about rose fertilizer, she won’t realize I've been in love with her for every one of the 538 days I’ve known her.

She also won’t think to look for the cameras I installed in her half of our duplex. (What can I say? Surveillance is my love language.)

Best of all, she’ll never connect those impeccably staged accidents she processes as a death investigator to the man watering the rosebushes next door.

After a year and a half of mailbox small talk with my rose-growing psychologist neighbor Hugo, it's a relief to pull on a mask and deliver justice the system won't, one solitary kill at a time.

At least it was, until a rival vigilante starts turning up at my future crime scenes like he owns them (because as far as he's concerned, he does). I don’t know his name or what he looks like. I do know I’m taking risks I shouldn’t so I can see him again.

Then one of our murder-dates goes spectacularly wrong, and I discover that my boring neighbor and the seasoned killer I'm falling for are the same guy.

Turns out a vigilante situationship hits different when you share a wall—especially when Hugo’s been keeping even more secrets than I have.

To All the Guys I Killed Before is a delightfully unhinged mashup of Mr. and Mrs. Smith's secret double lives, Lights Out's morally gray golden retriever hero, and Butcher & Blackbird's blood-slicked banter. Book 1 in the Right Kind of Wrong series is funny, spicy, ridiculously romantic, and genuinely dark, with a killer found family and enough OMG WHAT??? moments to fill several unmarked graves. Books 2 and 3—How to Slay a Guy in Ten Days and He's Just Not that Into Stalking You—are coming for you soon.

    💋💋4 Stars💋💋

This was such a pleasant surprise. I had no idea that I was going to fall in love with not one but two crazy dysfunctional vigilante killers!!

Rue has always marched to the beat of her own drum and she has no plans of changing the way she does things. Being a forensic medical examiner has made her see things beyond a clinical level and she uses that skill to her liking at night. But when she meets someone whose life's mission is to deliver their own kind of justice, Rue knows that kills as she knows it, is about to get a lot more complicated.

    tumblr 05f1906191d662770eac5d17e1021fc3 3fca18db 500

I really enjoyed this one and it had the perfect balance of dark humor, sexual tension, and hilarious banter. Hugo and Rue were the complete opposite of each on paper but the minute they were in the same room together, you knew immediately that these two were meant for each other. They moved in sync and I loved seeing them in their natural element because they made each other better.

This is my first time reading anything from this author and it certainly will not be my last! I'm really excited to see what she's going to do for the next few books in the series. If you're a fan of dark romance but you're looking for comedic relief as well, I highly recommend you read this one.

Blog Tour: Her Forbidden Teacher by K Webster

    August 1, 2026

Looking for a little bit of forbidden spice? Then snag your copy of Her Forbidden Teacher by K Webster today!

    One Click Your Copy Today!

From USA Today Bestselling author K Webster comes a steamy, forbidden romance about a girl with a ruined reputation… and the teacher who risks everything to make her feel whole again.

I ruined my life with one photo.

    I trusted the wrong girl.

She sent it to the wrong man.

And suddenly, I wasn’t just Addison Monahan anymore…

    I was the scandal.

Expelled. Humiliated. Sent away to start over somewhere no one knows me.

New house. New school. New rules.

I was supposed to keep my head down.

    Stay out of trouble.

    Disappear.

    Then I met him.

    My teacher.

He’s not supposed to look at me like I matter.

Not supposed to listen when I speak.

Not supposed to believe me when no one else did.

    But he does.

And the more time we spend alone…

The harder it is to pretend this is nothing.

    Because it’s not.

It’s stolen moments in empty classrooms.

Lingering looks that last too long.

A connection that feels a little too real.

    We both know it’s wrong.

That doesn’t stop me from wanting him.

And it definitely doesn’t stop him from choosing me.

When everything finally comes crashing down, he’ll have to decide…

    Save himself?

    Or ruin everything for me.

A taboo MF romance featuring a forbidden student/teacher relationship, age gap, sneaking around, a scandalized heroine, and a broken hero who risks it all for the one girl he should never touch. No cliffhanger, no cheating, and an HEA guaranteed.

    1785456346162

It's been a while since I've read a student/teacher romance and even longer reading anything from this author. When I saw that she was coming out with this forbidden goodness, I knew that I had to jump on this one IMMEDIATELY.

Addison Monahan has had a pretty rough school with a nasty rumor that forced her to change schools during her senior year. Hoping for a fresh start and to keep her head down, Addison quickly learns that there's some things that you can't out run.

The last thing that Theo Langston needs is more drama in his life. Getting through a messy divorce did a number on him and the only thing that he's looking forward to, is starting his new job as a teacher. Seeing a new student getting harassed and bullied on her first day, Theo has a strong urge to not only protect her, but to get to know her on a personal level. Proving that this school year is going to be a difficult one.

    tumblr mgpcakxsa61qhdb1no1 500

I knew that this was going to be a quick read and I was okay with that because it's a K Webster book and no one does forbidden and dark romance like her! But… this was more of a sprinkle of forbidden if I'm being honest. I wanted to be so wrapped up in these characters and feel the thrill of it all flowing through my veins with the secret meetings and stolen glances but sadly, I didn't FEEL it. Maybe my expectations were too high but I needed more from this one.

With that being said, I'm really looking forward to reading about a certain side character. I think that I'm going to enjoy that story even more and I can't wait for it!

No one loves a small town thriller like this girl right here. It's been a while since I've read anything from Aleatha Romig and she still has the ability to suck her readers in. From beginning to end, my mind was a merry go round of who was the real killer and what secrets refused to stay buried and through it all, I still got it wrong!

It's been six years since Jillian Thorne has stepped foot into her small town of Blue Gil but when a beloved high school football coach is found dead, she makes her way back home. On the surface, everything looks the same and although the town is in mourning, something doesn't feel right to her. Deciding to do some investigating on her own, Jillian learns that there is much more to her small town than she could've ever imagined. There's something sinister going on in Blue Gil and there's a killer on the loose who has no intention of slowing down.

    danger

Despite a few hiccups, I really did enjoy most of the story and if you're a fan of this author and love psychological thrillers, you may want to give this one a try.

New Release + Review: Falter by Aly Martinez

    May 17, 2026

    𝐃𝐨𝐰𝐧𝐥𝐨𝐚𝐝 𝐇𝐞𝐫𝐞-> 𝐡𝐭𝐭𝐩𝐬://𝐚𝐦𝐳𝐧.𝐭𝐨/𝟒𝐭𝐳𝐞𝐥𝐅𝟖

    WHAT YOU CAN EXPECT:
    💙Bodyguard
    💙 Forced Proximity
    💙Grumpy Sunshine
    💙Jaded Hero
    💙Forbidden

    BLURB:

I once made the mistake of falling for a client, and it nearly cost me my career.
Jaded and disgraced, I used my attitude as armor so it could never happen again.

Until I was assigned to protect Lofton Beck.

Hollywood’s golden girl had a stalker on her tail—and two dead bodyguards.

She was a nightmare from the start. Didn’t follow orders. Had no concept of boundaries. Worst of all, she was so damn gorgeous I couldn’t build my walls strong enough to keep her out.

As the threats escalated, we were forced into hiding at her family’s farm. Keeping my distance became impossible with her sleeping in the room next door.

Somewhere between our early mornings together and the quiet moments when the world disappeared, it became clear her stalker wasn’t the most dangerous part of the assignment.

Protecting her was never the problem.
Falling in love with her could cost me everything.

*𝐄𝐚𝐜𝐡 𝐛𝐨𝐨𝐤 𝐢𝐧 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐆𝐮𝐚𝐫𝐝𝐢𝐚𝐧 𝐏𝐫𝐨𝐭𝐞𝐜𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐬𝐞𝐫𝐢𝐞𝐬 𝐜𝐚𝐧 𝐛𝐞 𝐫𝐞𝐚𝐝 𝐚𝐬 𝐚 𝐬𝐭𝐚𝐧𝐝𝐚𝐥𝐨𝐧𝐞.*

    1779074118625

Aly Martinez never fails to bring you a tortured protected hero and this book was no different. Whether you've read the previous books in the Guardian series or you've decided to start with this one, you can rest easy knowing that she's going to take care of your heart in the process.

Devon Grant has been through his fair share of protecting high profile celebrities. Being in constant Survival mode is second nature to him now and he uses that skill to assess his surroundings while in work mode. He’s precise, calculated, and downright one of the best bodyguards at his Agency. But with that comes complications and an error in judgment that continues to haunt him to this day.

Lofton Beck has always known that she wanted to be an actress. Hard work has never scared her and growing up on a farm, just fueled her work ethic even more. Now she's one of Hollywood's hottest actresses and she has no plans to slow down. That all changes when a dangerous stalker took away her safety and made her his number one target. Forced to hire a top notch security team with a new bodyguard, Lofton is about to get a one on one lesson in having to trust someone she knows nothing about.

I have to say that I really liked the connection between Lofton and Devon from the very beginning. You felt it immediately even when they were at odds with each other and you were anticipating the next moment they were going to be pushed together.

If you're a fan of this author's work, I highly recommend you read this one. Devon and Lofton's love journey through self discovery, heartbreak and danger, was all worth it.

Originally from Savannah, Georgia, USA Today bestselling author Aly Martinez now lives in South Carolina with her four young children.

Never one to take herself too seriously, she enjoys cheap wine, charcuterie boards, and her mildly neurotic golden retriever. It should be known, however, that she hates pizza and ice cream, almost as much as writing her bio in the third person.

She passes what little free time she has reading anything and everything she can get her hands on, preferably with a super-sized tumbler of wine by her side.

Book Review: Still Beating by Jennifer Hartmann

    April 2, 2026

    Synopsis

WARNING: This book contains subject matter that may be sensitive for some readers. There is dark and triggering content between these pages. 18+ only. Please read responsibly.

When Cora attends her sister’s birthday party, she expects at most a hangover or a walk of shame. She doesn’t anticipate a stolen wallet, leaving her stranded and dependent on Dean—her arch nemesis and ultimate thorn in her side.

And she really doesn’t anticipate waking up in shackles in a madman’s basement.

To make matters worse, Dean shares the space in his own set of chains.

After fifteen years of teasing, insults, and practical jokes, the ultimate joke seems to be on them. The two people who always thought they’d end up killing each other must now work together if they want to survive.

But Cora and Dean have no idea their abductor has a plan for them. A plan that will alter the course of their relationship, blur the line between hate and love, and shackle them together with far more than just chains.

Good grief! Now I see what all the fuss was about with this book. I'm suffering from twelve different emotions right now and I can't even articulate what I want to say. I'll tell you this though: get ready for an emotional torture roller-coaster ride.

After having this one on my tbr for a while, I decided to start this book on a whim. I couldn't remember what the Synopsis was or if this was a duet or a trilogy and I liked that I was entering into the unknown of some sorts. Everything was going smoothly and I had no reason to raise alarms because I only knew that this was going to get emotional. Well let me tell you..

Dean and Cora were always in each other's orbit but one fateful night, sealed their future forever. From mild banters to pranks gone wrong, to say that these two have a disdain for each other is putting it mildly. What happens when the fight for survival opens up another world you had no idea of even existing?

I was honestly not expecting to be so wrapped up in this story. I found myself thinking about it when I wasn't reading it and I couldn't wait to jump back in. It honestly consumed me for a few days and even though I had a love/hate relationship with it at times, I can't deny that this was a really powerful love story about survival, selfishness, sacrifices, and dipping your toe into forbidden waters. It's going to take a while to get these characters out of my head but I would go through every late night read again promising myself just one more chapter.

If you're looking for a dark emotional torture romance, I highly recommend you go with this one. But be warned. This one is going to hurt.
