Cover Reveal: Teacher's Pet by R.K. Lilley

    September 25, 2023

R.K. Lilley has revealed the covers for Teacher's Pet!

    Releasing October 24, 2023

    CLASS IS NOW IN SESSION
Mr. North didn't sleep with students. Everybody knew it because every girl in school was at least a little bit in love with him. Including Nova Monroe.
Mr. North was perfect, big and gorgeous, a former college football player turned high school coach, he was a hunk as well as a studious professor.
No one could look at him and not crave his approval.
She wanted his approval. But above all, she wanted his attention.
Nova was a problem for him; his most vexatious student.
She offered him her virginity on a silver platter. Taking what she offered would destroy his teaching career, moreover, it went against everything he believed in, but he'd never wanted anything more.
When he finds out she's homeless, he offers her a place to stay. They end up living together, and things get even more out of hand.
Can he resist her? Or will he risk it all and give in to temptation?

      BLURB:

WARNING: DO NOT READ THE BLURB FOR THIS BOOK. It’s better if you go in BLIND, trust me… But if you *have* to know what you're getting yourself into, you can read the synopsis below.   She lied to me. Not once, not twice. This entire time.   To her, I was the "cliche Mr. Popular," the star quarterback who owned Friday nights. To me, she was the goth geek in the bleachers, playing clarinet in the band.   Despite our differences, I climbed through her window every night. Even when we started college.   She was the only person who truly understood me, and I couldn't stay away from her if I tried. Our connection was hot and toxic, but we never dared to put out the flames.   We fell too hard, too fast… And this wouldn’t have been a problem except for the fact that I was already dating someone else.   Her sister.   **See? That’s why you shouldn’t have read this blurb and went in blind. Alas, this is an emotional ride of a romance with toxic undertones that will drive you to some unexpected places. The author just felt like writing this story one day, so don't say you weren't warned about what you were getting into.**

Well I overlooked this author's warning and went ahead and read the synopsis anyway and I'm glad that I did. I knew that I was in for some forbidden drama, angst and some funny moments.

The one thing that Scarlett truly wants to call her own is the only thing she can't have. Having to live your day to day life in a form of secrecy is not easy and the more time that passes, only gets harder for Scarlett. But how do you give in to the one thing that you know is going to hurt someone else?

    tumblr-meikb7-AJRj1r8hwexo1-500

I enjoyed the majority of this book but I also had some issues with it as well. I needed the author to go deeper into a few things because it made no sense to me why a certain character would say what they hate the most, ends up doing the exact same thing.

    200-2

I also felt like the ending was extremely rushed and everything was quickly wrapped in a bow. I wanted to see some groveling and the aftermath of those actions and I never got that. This was not a bad read at all but I think that it could've been better.

Release Blitz With Review: Moonlit Temptation

    September 15, 2023

Moonlit Temptation by Penelope Black is now live!

They say everything happens in threes.

    Good luck and misfortune.

I got fired, inherited my late-grandmother's house, and moved across the country all in a weekend.

I thought I would get a reprieve, eager and excited to spend my summer with my cousin.

But no one warned me the rule of three could apply to men.

    The charming playboy.

    The enigmatic stranger.

    The grumpy single dad.

Known collectively as the St. James men. And the most coveted bachelors in all of Rosewood. They run the Rosewood Reapers, an allegedly reformed motorcycle club. I find myself irresistibly drawn to all three of them in a way I can't ignore.

    So I don't.

The only problem is, there are more secrets than people in this town. And I fear there's one that could shake our very foundation.

Of all the endings that I dreamt of in my head for this book, I did NOT see this one coming. They need to stop calling these things "cliffhangers" and let's just say what they really are: little deaths. This story completely took me by surprise and if you're brave enough, it's going to do the same thing to you.

    source

Evangeline Carter has lost the only family member that truly loved and cared about her. Her beloved grandmother meant the world to her and even though it's been a year since her passing, the pain of losing her is just as fresh as it was a year ago. Moving to her Nana's hometown for the summer will hopefully be the reset that she needs for her life. But with a new sense of peace also comes complications and it's not one, not two, but three.

I love a good small town romance and seeing that this had a bit of a mystery to it, I was on board for everything. Eva was the kind of heroine that you wanted to have as a close friend and enemies were your enemies. I was under the impression that this was a standalone book so you can imagine my surprise when sh*t started getting real towards the end and gave me severe anxiety. I was a hot mess because I know this author couldn't have been that crazy to go there. There was no way she was going to put that into the universe. Guess what she did? Guess. She went there!!

    giphy-30

Now despite all of that, this author told us to trust her so that is what I'm going to do. I'm going to trust that for book two I won't be unprepared and bring the good wine. I'm going to trust that she's not going to lead us down a rabbit hole and have me in a chair talking to a therapist every Thursday at 2pm. And I'm also going to trust that these characters will take care of my heart because if I have to go through another cliffhanger like that again, I'm going to find a way inside of that book!.

If you're looking for a "why choose" slow burn mystery romance, then I recommend you read this one.

Please note that this is not a standalone and it ends on a cliffhanger. Let me repeat myself some more. Do not read this book with a glass of wine. This is NOT a standalone. Drink from the bottle. You're welcome.

Release Blitz with Review: The Summer I Saved You by Elizabeth O'Roark

    September 14, 2023

The Summer I Saved You by Elizabeth O'Roark is now live!

    CALEB
I came to the lake to be left alone, to lick my wounds. I wasn't counting on neighbors and I especially wasn't counting on her.

Lucie was a little kid the last time I was here. Now she's grown—and God, did she ever grow up—with two young kids of her own.

She's everywhere I look, no matter how hard I try to avoid her. I'd forgotten all the things I used to want, used to dream about. She's reminding me...and making me want every last one of them again.

    LUCIE
From the moment I first saw Caleb when I was six, I knew he belonged to me. And I knew I'd have to save him—because how else does the girl nobody wants win over the boy beloved by all?

Nothing about his life or mine has gone to plan. He's isolated and miserable. I've got a vindictive ex and more problems than I can count.

But what hasn't changed is this: it still feels like he's mine.

And I still think I may need to save him.

    September 13, 2023

    Title: Fear Me, Love Me
    Author: Lilith Vincent
    Genre: Contemporary Mafia Romance
    Tropes: Age Gap/Possessive Alphahole
    Release Date: September 13, 2023

    BLURB

Tyrant Mercer doesn’t grant wishes. He collects debts, and he’s here to claim me.

All I wanted was my baby brother back from the man who stole him away. My family is in Tyrant’s debt, a man they hate, and they disown me when the devil’s eyes stray to me. Now there’s nothing and no one to protect me from the cruel man who runs this city from the shadows.

But Tyrant’s not going to drag me away by my hair just yet. He’s going to torment me first.

Tyrant demands that I play his twisted games. He thinks I’ll crumble for his amusement, but I’m carrying a secret that’s bigger than both of us. A secret that’s now in the hands of the worst man possible.

All he craves is me. All he demands is everything. Tyrant will give me everything I’ve ever wanted—all I have to say is I wish…

But a wish is a curse when it’s granted by the devil himself.

Author’s note: Fear Me, Love Me is a standalone MF romance with dark themes, forced breeding, somnophilia, an age gap, a jealous and possessive alphahole, and a sweet but strong virgin heroine. The story is dirty and delicious, so please read at your discretion. Please be aware that this book contains depictions of cutting and self-harm.

“Hearts that don’t beat, can’t break.”

Someone needs to explain to me what happened. I need this to be broken down in it's most simplest form because this author is crazy and quite frankly her characters are unhinged!! I haven't felt this tug of war about a hero in a very long time and as I'm writing this review, I still don't know how I feel. Do I embrace the crazy? Indulge in the madness? Or get my head examined?

    tumblr-nhaq4wo-Y8w1tymklvo1-500-1

Vivienne Stone has always wanted to feel like she's worthy and to have a good relationship with her father and stepmother. Family means everything to her and that includes her baby brother whom she would do anything for. That love is tested when the unthinkable happens and Vivienne decides to make a sacrifice that puts her on the radar of the most feared man in her city.

    tumblr-oty0y1o-Io-J1qdlf5oo6-500

Tyrant is a ruthless king and he apologizes for nothing and fears no one. Don't pay your debts? I hoped you enjoyed your life up until then because he's going to make your final moments extremely painful. Deciding to switch things up a bit for someone who's indebted to him, he comes face to face with a woman that's going to take his possessiveness to a whole new level.

    31365042

I have to admit that it took a while for me to get into this story. I was not a fan of the hero in the beginning along with the way he went about certain things. He was a bit too much if i'm being honest and as the chapters flew by, it became worse. I'm not sure if it was because we were able to go back into the past and have more of his pov, but I did warm up to him and I loved that he protected the heroine as if his life depended on it.

If you're looking for a hot dark romance with a possessive hero, then this one's for you.

Are you in the mood for something quick, spicy, and absolutely fucking unhinged? If so, search no further! Fear Me, Love Me by Lilith Vincent is exactly what you're looking for! It was created with inspiration from the author's lifelong love of Jareth the Goblin King from the movie Labyrinth and an Instagram post featuring the cover model, Jord Liddell. The result is a crazy combination of weird and hot which I know a lot of dark romance fans will appreciate.

Tyrant terrifies everyone he comes into contact with, except Vivienne. Instead of the big bad wolf he is to most, he's more like her own personal teddy bear...if said bear gave her his fingers and cock to use as a pacifier. Nobody in Vivienne's life looks out for her or cares for her, so who can blame her for falling in love with the only person who does? Sure, he's a little psychotic, but we all have our faults, right?

When you first start reading this, you may feel like you've picked up the book in the middle of the story, but don't worry, the author fills you in on the missing details later. That being said, don't expect super in depth backstories, we're given just enough information on the characters to know who and what we're dealing with. Fear Me, Love Me is a fast paced, violent, twisted, depraved romance featuring a broken heroine and a powerful anti-hero that will end the world to protect, keep, and avenge the woman he's obsessed with/loves.

Dark romance fans, this one is for you!
