I was born in hell, raised in a nightmare.
I was fifteen when I killed for the first time.
As a child, my dreams were about climbing out of that hell, of being on top of the pile of bodies and not one of them.
I live in the shadows, find solace in the darkness.
    Until her.
    A chance meeting, a fleeting moment…
    Her innocence beguiles me.
I want her, but to have her would destroy the very part of her I crave.
And even knowing that, I can’t stay away, until my past threatens to drag her into my nightmare.
Letting her go is the hardest thing I’ve ever done, but a demon has no business falling in love with an angel.

    Welcome to Patchwork House…

Patchwork House is a boy’s club—a mean boy’s club. They made an exception for Tweetie once, and they’re going to make another, because she’s coming home. After two years away and one too many broken hearts, Tweetie swore off skaters—but she never expected Flip.

Flip was the most famous skater in the world until he traded his place at Patchwork with the little girl whose life he ruined. Now Tweetie’s all grown up, and one chance encounter brings them together. He knows the right thing to do is disappear before things get ugly, but he never was very good at being good.

She’s back, and so is he—all bets are off. Nothing will stop this bad boy from finally getting his lost girl. They're written in the stars, and it's time she knows it.

“I only need two things in this world. You and Us. Just you and us,Bailey".

    *Deep breaths

I’ve had this type of smirk on the sly when it came to anything that M.Robinson has wrote since “ Ends Here”There’s no question that this woman can write and the angst will pretty much do you in, but the curve of my lips and raised eyebrows came from me thinking that this author will NEVER get me again. The emotions that she had managed to pull out of me was a once in a lifetime thing because there was no way in hell that I was going down that emotional rollercoaster one more time. I almost sought out real therapy with her last duet so why the f*ck did I think that I was so special this time around?

My name is Sonya and I’m….. an emotional angst whore.

Aiden Pierce has wanted one thing and one thing only and that was to have the love of his life, by his side until he took his last breath. They say you know your soulmate from the minute you lay eyes on them and Aiden was no different. At seven years old he fell in love, and at Eighteen he sealed his fate with the woman of his dreams. Life had it’s ups and downs but love was always a constant for Aiden and Bailey and nothing could ever tear them apart. Or so they thought.

If you thought that ‘Choosing Us” was going to be a walk in the park read, someone lied to you!! It was not easy at times and some of the characters will test you but it will be worth it. From witnessing a love story in the making, to future heartbreaks, and the aura of mystery, Choosing Us will take a little piece of your heart right along with the final chapter.

I loved that this book ended up surprising me and it had a little bit of a guessing game to it. I was eager to keep flipping the pages as I went along just to get more answers!! Their pain was so raw that you had no choice but to feel every single emotion and I liked that the author gave us that. With a cliffhanger that will make you question everything and lose your mind at the same time, this duet is not to be missed out on.

“You’re cute! I like you. Now scoot over for me.”
I did, only because I liked the way she made me feel, and I didn’t want her to leave me alone again. She sat right beside me as close as she could, leaving no room in between us.
“I’m Bailey Button, by the way.”
Her soft skin brushed against my arm, causing new bubbles in my stomach.
    What was that?
“I hate my name. It’s so stupid. It sounds like I’m a belly button, but I’m not. I’m a girl, see?” Tugging on her hair that was in pigtails, she blinked her long, big eyelashes at me. “I don’t look like a belly button, right?”
“No.” Was the only word I could say when she sat that close to me.
She nodded, bringing a piece of chicken up to her mouth. Not paying any attention to what she was doing to me.
“I like your name, Aiden Pierce. It’s pretty.”
    “Pretty?”
“Yeah, I like pretty names. Not like mine.”
Before I gave it any thought, I blurted, “Your name is beautiful just like you are.”
Her eyes flew to mine, and another huge smile took over her face. “No one has ever called me beautiful, Aiden Pierce!”
    I smiled with her.
“Now we’re going to have to get married.”
“What?” I stopped smiling, jerking back. “We do?”
“Mmm hmm…” She chewed on her food, swallowing it down. “That’s what happens when you call a girl beautiful, you have to get married after. I don’t make the rules, I just follow them. Before my momma passed away, she always said to marry a man who calls me beautiful, and I’ll be happy every day of my life.”
Maybe her momma sent her to me too?
    “Will you make me happy?”
    “Uh… I can try.”
    “Try really hard, okay?”
    “Okay.”
    Momma would want that, right?
    Yeah, she would.
“I like the way Bailey Pierce sounds. What do you think?”
“I like the way Bailey Pierce sounds too, but aren’t we too young to get married?”
“No silly! I meant when we’re older.”
“Oh.” I thought about it for a second. “Like how much older?”
Now it was her turn to think about it for a second. “Like when we’re eighteen. That’s old enough.”
    “Okay.”
“Aiden...” She giggled, twirling her hair in a big knot around her finger. “You have to ask me first.”
“Oh, I do?” I scratched my head. “When?”
    “When we’re eighteen.”
“Okay.” I nodded, meaning it. “I’ll ask you when we’re eighteen.”
“Okay.” She nodded back. “I’ll try to act surprised too. Ask me in a good way, alright? So I cry.”
She was confusing, but in the best way possible. I’d say anything she wanted just to keep her by my side, so I’d always feel this way.
    Safe.
I knew right then and there my momma had something to do with this. I didn’t know how, but she kept her promise to me. This had to be the girl, I felt it in my bones.
“Why would I want to make you cry?”
“Because they’re happy tears and crying with happy tears is like super romantic.”
“Oh… Okay then. I’ll ask you in a way that will make you cry happy tears.”
“Okay good, but don’t make me cry in any other way than happy tears. Ever. You promise?”
    “I promise.”
She leaned her head on my shoulder, whispering, “I trust you.”

Blog Tour + Review: King by Cassia Leo

We are beyond excited about the release of KING, a new romance about taking chances, double lives, and falling madly in love with the one person you're supposed to want dead by New York Times bestselling author Cassia Leo. Be sure to grab your copy today!

    About KING

From New York Times bestselling author Cassia Leo comes a romance about taking chances, double lives, and falling madly in love with the one person you’re supposed to want dead.
    Never steal from a king.
Down on her luck in Las Vegas, Isabel “Izzy” Lake turns to the regulated prostitution industry. But her first day on the job ends abruptly when her client dies, and his suitcase contains over a million dollars.
Izzy takes the money and sets off to a small town on the other side of the country, where she attempts to live a low-profile life. A few weeks into her new country girl lifestyle, she finds owning an old fixer-upper isn’t so fun when you’re a city girl with zero DIY skills.
Izzy’s handsome new neighbor, Kingston Jameson, is all too eager to fix her leaky faucet and warm the cold side of her bed. It’s not long before she finds herself falling for King. But is he really the sweet-talking country boy he claims to be, or has he come to collect more than her heart?
    ***
Kingston “King” Jameson knew he shouldn’t have let Garrett pick up the suitcase full of cash. And he sure as hell never expected Garrett to die at a brothel and get robbed by a prostitute.
King needs to get the suitcase – and the secret item hidden in the lining – before his boss kills him.
He has one problem: The girl who stole the suitcase has hidden it very well. She left her entire life behind in Las Vegas. She’s got nothing left to lose. If King wants that suitcase, he needs to get close to her. Close enough to watch her every move. To know her deepest secrets.
Okay, he has two problems: He’s also fallen in love with the girl he’s supposed to kill.

This was better than I hoped it was going to be!! It was dangerous, heartwarming, sexy, and it left me with a smile on my face.

    Never steal from a king

After a night that could’ve gone so much worse, Izzy is now on the run leaving her home of Las Vegas behind. Hoping to start fresh and fly under the radar, she moves to a small town in North Carolina where she begins her simple life. But an uneasy feeling has never left her since she drove away from her past life, and that’s within good reason.

The only thing that is on King’s mind, is tracking down the person that took something very valuable from a close friend. Getting close to a woman is not on his list and neither is falling for her. But you know what they say about having plans: Never make them. With time running out and more lives at risk, the countdown is now on.

I really loved the setup of this story. I was hooked from the very first chapter and I liked that we as readers were taken on this ride of a “ What really Happened” outlook. The characters held their own and their connection felt natural to me which was a big plus. King and Izzy both had tragic pasts and I liked that they found solace in each other and was able to make new memories.

If you’re looking for a sexy read, this one is for you.

It was temptation that broke the sinner.
People say I have everything. They’re wrong. I may have looks, money, and privilege, but I don’t have the one thing that really matters, the one thing I crave: a woman with eyes only for me. I’m searching for my woman—one who will fall to her knees because I’m her king. She’ll wear the crown of my tarnished name, and long for me when I’m not near. And when I am close, she’ll be naked across my lap, feeling the sting of my palm across her milky skin. You could say I’m a sinner because I’d do anything to have the perfect woman—compliant to my every need and whim—and I’m envious of every couple who walks around naive to the luxury they have.
That’s why I joined The Elite, the most prestigious brotherhood in the south. It’s the one place that will give me what I cannot have. Only…the task assigned to me is too much for my jealous eyes. Accept your sin wisely, for the tasks given to earn your place are not for the weak...they’re for The Elite. Those who envy have no peace. My name is Sabastian Westbrook. I am Envy.

Review Blitz: The Five by Lily White

    March 22, 2019

    Title: The Five
    Author: Lily White
    Genre: Dark Romance
    Release Date: March 20, 2019

Every man who meets Rainey wants her. Having lived a life of sex, drugs and manipulation, she is a temptation with far too many secrets. On a twisted path of love, loss and murder, Rainey leads Justin through the events of her life. Death follows Rainey... Justin fights to discover her secrets... But will he discover the secret of THE FIVE in time to resist Rainey's ultimate seduction?
"This book deals with sensitive subject matter that may be upsetting to some readers."

    (ENTER HERE)

“No, Rainey. Let me look at you. I love looking at you. Even when I close my eyes, all I see is you.”

I dropped my arms, my legs trembling. This was Rowan, the sweet, kindhearted boy I loved. Yet, in that moment I feared him. The adrenaline was wearing off and I was suddenly so cold.

His lips parted as he stared at me, those blue eyes I knew so well slowly taking in my body as heat blazed behind them. He’d grown so large, twice my size at least, and it had never occurred to me how strong he was until now. Nobody would pick on him anymore. Not without getting their asses handed to them in a fight.

“Can I touch you, Rainey?” His eyes lifted to mine. “Is that all right? For me to touch you?”

“Always,” I whispered, unable to put any strength in my voice. “You can always touch me.”

He stepped forward and I stepped back out of instinct. He would never hurt me. Not Rowan. But what I saw in him now was the predator that had always lingered just beneath the surface. He wasn’t a monster like his family or David. Not him. He was something else entirely.

Pain shot through his eyes when I moved, his hands fisting at his sides. “Do I scare you now?”

Shaking my head, I forced my mouth to move. “No. It’s just -“

    “Just what?”

    “You’re different, Rowan. A man, I guess. You’ve grown.”

Blue eyes held mine, the darkness in them seeping away, but not entirely. His lips pulled into a tight smile. “You need a man. I’ve become exactly what you need. For you, Rainey. Not anybody else. Just for you.”

I drew in a rattling breath. “Touch me.”

Rowan moved forward and I held my ground, craning my neck to look up at him. He was shaking, his skin so cold that I knew I had to fix him somehow. “Rowan?”

    “Yeah?”

    “Will you kiss me?”

“You could feel sorry for me. Laugh at me.Call me stupid or a slut. It didn’t matter because I was still breathing. I was still marching on despite knowing there wasn’t any light at the end of my tunnel”.

Omg this was messed the hell up in the most delicious effed up way!! I don’t even know where to start, how to go about telling you about these characters, and explaining this intricate web of lies plot that had me at a loss for words at times. This author wasted no time in sucking you into the plot with a “ Who’s really innocent/guilty vibe and it’s been one roller coaster ride since.

Image and video hosting by TinyPic

Rainey Day (yes that’s her name) has just been a part of a gruesome crime. Waking up with no recollection and now being questioned by the police, she’s now being seen as the victim who got lucky. With the help of a young psychologist who’s been assigned to get more information of what really happened that night, the past and present of Rainey’s life, becomes the main attraction in this circus of twisted plots.

Because this book deals with a lot of content that some might find disturbing or uncomfortable, I will refrain from going into further details in the story. What I will say is that these characters are crazy AF!! From the moment I started reading this, I’ve had a nagging feeling in the pit of my stomach. I put it on the back burner for the first half of the book because I felt like nothing was going to come of it and everything was going to be ok. Boy was I wrong… I knew it, I felt, and I saw the big neon flashing sign but you know what? I had hope. So much that did for me!! Shock does not even to begin to describe the buildup to that ending!!

“You have a lot dead people around you, Rainey.

We all die. Just some of us sooner than others".

The lengths that some of the characters went through was not only mind boggling at times, but it’s down right scary. I’ve read a lot of stories where the characters have sacrificed a lot for the other, but this was different and I loved that. I became angry when certain decisions were made, felt that flicker of pride for a moment, and held my breath for the unknown that was the ending.

If you like your reads twisted, unconventional, with a side of fucked up, then this is the one for you! Lily White will have wanting so much more from the minute you’ve read the words “The End”

Lily White is a romance writer who likes to dabble on the taboo side of eroticism. She is most known for her Masters Series, Target This, Wishing Well, and Asylum.
