Notice

Publication Date: June 6, 2017
Genres: Adult, Contemporary, Dark Romance, Suspense
I didn’t notice her before…but now I do. The shiny strands of gold in her silky brown hair. Tiny crinkles between her eyebrows when she frowns. Her passion for neatness. Once I focus on her, I can’t take my eyes from my newest obsession. Ever. I need to know everything about her. Her past. Her present. The way she takes her coffee. Exactly how she smells after a spritz of perfume in the mornings. She’s perfect in every way and I was blind. But, God, now do I see. I notice the organized way she arranges her clothes in her closet. How she visits the same market each Saturday. The sounds of her breathing as I lie beneath her bed in silence. Violet is mine. She just doesn’t know it yet. ***WARNING*** Notice is a dark and unusual romance. Extreme sexual themes and violence in certain scenes, which could trigger emotional distress, are found in this story. If you are sensitive to dark themes, then this story is not for you. If you aren't into super obsessive stalkers, then this story is not for you.
Hello, my name is Jessica, and I have serious psychological
problems. I blame K. Webster for taking me, an already obviously sick human
being, and making me even worse. The hero in Notice is a successful, attractive stalker. That last part would keep him from being appealing to most sane
individuals, but does that one silly detail matter to me? Absolutely not! I
will go as far as to say that it made me love him even more! When I read You by
Caroline Kepnes, I thought Joe was the only stalker I could ever love. I was so
wrong! I would participate in a menage with them both anytime!
Grayson Maxwell never noticed Violet until the day she
handed him her 2 week notice. Even then, his business associate and best
friend, Bull, had to make him pay attention to her. Once he finally saw her
though, he couldn’t keep his eyes off of her. He wants to find out everything
about her and sets out to do just that by going through her computer, her
phone, and even her apartment…while she sleeps.
Violet can’t stand Gray. He has ignored her for years and
hasn’t shown her one bit of gratitude for her hard work and dedication. Gray
makes it his mission to change those feelings of loathing into something else
entirely. He plans to befriend Violet,
prevent her from leaving his company, and make her his.
Violet’s feelings for Gray do take a turn for the better. Of
course, he doesn’t ever tell her that he sleeps under her bed, steals her
panties, or licks her sex toys, but some things are better left unsaid. What
she doesn’t know can’t hurt her and all that. Can it?
If you know me, you know that K. Webster is one of my
favorite authors. One of the reasons for that is her ability to take the most
deranged individuals and make you love them. Gray stole my twisted little heart
from the moment he was introduced, and I was rooting for him the entire time! I
was reading and thinking crazy shit like, I hope she doesn’t wake up when he
touches her! LOL! Sure he is a stalker, but he is also smart, caring,
protective, considerate, a prosperous business owner, and a devoted brother and
son that takes care of his sister and mother. Violet wasn’t exactly my favorite
type of female character, but she was perfect for Gray. I loved how accepting
she was of him and his family, and how she wanted to help them in any way she
could without judgement.
Notice was everything I wanted it to be and more! The
writing was amazing as always, the story was dark and delicious, and the
romance was hot. Gray is a dirty talker, in case any of you might be wondering
about that, and delightfully inappropriate which I guess is a given with him
being a stalker and all. I know this is supposed to be a standalone, but
someone is introduced at the very end of the story that I would LOVE to see get their own book. I’m keeping my fingers crossed for that one! If you love this author’s
work, dark romance, or mentally disturbed but lovable heroes, this one is for
you!
