I was expecting a little exhibitionism to be thrown in somewhere based on Tyson's history, but that was not the case. He doesn't want anyone's eyes on Lake's body aside from his own, and despite his reasons for marrying her, he will literally kill anyone that lays a finger on Lake. He's extremely protective of her right from the start.

Lake is confused and upset to find out that Tyson hijacked her wedding to another man, not because she loved her husband to be, but because Tyson was engaged to her sister, Whitney. Whitney was murdered years ago when she and Tyson were together, and Lake suspects he had something to do with it.
