An all new second chance love story by the New York Times Bestselling author of the beloved Driven series. It all started with the invitation. To my ex-fiance’s new wedding. I should have ignored it. Thrown it away. Set it afire. But I didn’t. I replied. With a plus one. And then my assistant accidentally mailed it. Enter Hayes Whitley. Mega-movie star. The man who has captured the hearts of millions. But I gave him mine years ago. He was my first love. He was my everything. Right until he up and left to chase his dreams without so much as a simple goodbye. When he showed up out of the blue ten years later, I should have known to steer clear of him. I should have rejected his offer to take me to my ex’s wedding. I should have never let him kiss me. But I didn’t. And now we’re left wondering if the pieces of the life we once shared still fit together somehow. First loves are hard to forget. The question is, do we want to forget? Or do we risk the chance and see what happens next?

This was such a sweet and delicious romantic story! You know what I feel like doing right now? Baking me some cupcakes and opening up my own shop. I loved the fact that as a reader, I felt like I was a part of everything. I was in the kitchen prepping with Saylor (she did all the work of course) making these delicious treats and having that proud moment when someone enjoys something that YOU created. And to make it even sweeter for me, this was a second chance romance that had me rooting for childhood love.

It’s been close to seven months since Saylor called off her engagement from her ex of six years. You would think that she would be in a state of self pity and a barrage of did I do the right thing, but she’s not. Her main focus is branding her cupcake shop and making it into a success she knows it can be. All of that focus temporarily goes out the window when she gets an invitation to her ex’s wedding.

So what do you do when you see the exact same wedding invitation you created? You check that box for a plus one and do a little victory dance in your head because you know there’s no way in hell you’re attending that train wreck. But when a mix up gets her response mailed and she learns some new information that affects her new business, she’s now on her way to saying yes. And what better way to be escorted by none other than Hollywood’s golden boy and long time old love?

“He became my first crush.”

“Then later my first love.”

“And later again my first heartbreak.”

Hayes has worked his butt off for the past ten years trying to achieve his goal of being one of the top male actors in Hollywood. For ten years he’s spent countless hours on set, been a fixture in the tabloids on his personal life, and has more money than he could ever dream of. Not bad for a kid who’s childhood wasn’t the best. But none of those things mattered to him because the one person he loved the most, the woman who became a game changer for him throughout his teenage years, isn’t around to share those things with him. And he has no one to blame but himself.

One invitation.

Two plane tickets to paradise.

Three days of utter bliss.

With some convincing on her part, Saylor agrees to attend the wedding with Hayes but make no mistake, the hurt that’s been there for the past ten years isn’t going to go away with just a few soft spoken words. Hayes has a lot of explaining and groveling to do when it comes to getting back on Saylor’s good side. Will she forgive him?

“I have a plan. I have my world. My perfect, chaotic, surreal, fucking awesome world and there’s no room for error. She fits no where in it. That’s what I told myself when I left. That’s what I’m standing by now.”
I really enjoyed this one and I loved the connection between Saylor and Hayes even though they were separated for ten years. The love was still there and that didn’t go away no matter how much distance was put between them. I certainly didn’t agree with everything and I found myself being angry when it came to the reason why the separation was enforced Inn the first place but aside from that, this was a good read.

If you’re in the mood for a decadent treat, Sweet Cheeks is definitely for you.

But we all know books are fiction. The romance in novels is a crock of shit. Sometimes the hero still leaves in the end. And the heroine is once again left to pick up the pieces.

It's been hours since I finished this book because just any other K. Bromberg fan you know the drill. When the book is in your hands, you cannot wait until you finished it, you cannot wait until you have devoured it from start to finish and you cannot wait until your eyes got sore because you realize it's already in the wee hours and you still have work the next day. And boy did I devour it not minding I have other responsibilities. I just wanted to get lost in the moment and escape reality with K. Bromberg's book with me.In short, I just can't contain my excitement. For over the years, I have been rooting for her Driven series. I am one of those readers dreaming and fantasizing her characters and reliving the scenes. Because why wouldn't I? Kristy just had a way with words and knowing another book is about to come out, Man I am so giddy and I cannot sleep because I wanted the book so bad. When I realized it's a second chance love story, I am a goner. This is my weakness. It is my kryptonite and there's no way in hell I will make a pass for it. Because in truest form, you can never go wrong with second chance love story.

And here's the dilemma now, in as much as I am so over the clouds about the book, I really do not know how to write the review. I am in the state of really loving the book but couldn't form coherent thoughts to showcase it because the book itself is exemplary, the book itself is already showcased and you do not need any spoilers to read it and showcase it. It is all in the book and is just handed into you the moment you get your hands on it. So, it's a given then, I wont spoil you. Maybe just glimpses here and there. ;)

But first let me just ask you,Have you ever read a book you were so turned on like panty melting, knickers soaking tuned on and at the same time tears is streaming down your face?

My God! *Sigh

I experienced it with Sweet Cheeks. I really cannot believe it at first but seriously though it's legit. The book really did that to me. I was so engrossed along the pages of this story and then boom I was so confused over turned on and crying but hell I just did both! Besides the swoony moments and witty banters of the fantastic leads that had me really captivated that thought really is hands down on my mind the moment I finished the book. Aside from that is the strong chemistry of the characters. I have loved every moment of learning and going along with their journey. They're one of the best leads I have the pleasure of meeting. I love the character portrayals and once again I was in awe with the author's ability to sell those characters because damn I am so in love with them. The glimpses of them as teenagers and that after ten years after. The heroine's feisty and adorable side and of course the hero's alpha male sexiness add up with a strong determination and relentlessness and I became his's.

“My pace, Saylor. Not yours. I’m in control now. You may own pieces of me you never even knew, but right now, I’m going to own you. Every single part of you.”

That one week of being together not caring anything else just them was really one of the best scenes of this book.I was really swooning all over and I cannot help myself from smiling over cheesy lines my jaw hurts. My heart leaped with giddiness and utter bliss the moment issues were being resolved and that's how good the book is. You'll be in so much of emotions yet you are satisfied with the outcome.

Because yes, the book is really a satisfying second chance love story. Every interaction is PERFECTION. The angst and the tension was built up so good that you feel like you're in the edge. The flutters in your stomach because of the heartwarming feels. But more than that is what really is behind the story. For Hayes and Saylor, their journey is a true definition of second chances of love. When we're young we are so hell bent on the love we felt on our first love that the moment one walked away without any explanations leaving us confused on where we went wrong, we are so down and would really faced different phases just to forget the pain. Ahh yes young love. In it's truest passion, it is one of the most sweetest love of all but often times when not handled well often causes destruction and so much pain. For both of them, the years lost and wasted was never an easy feat but watching them reconnect and make up for the lost years is just absolutely beautiful. For Saylor, it's between forgiving and forgetting the past and focusing on what Hayes is ready to give and to finally accept everything. For Hayes. it's his relentlessness and determination to fight for someone you love which is just beautifully portrayed not with too much angst but with something that builds up your anticipation and made you smile all throughout then leave you with heart warming feels. In the end,it was a sweet journey. Indeed, with love you can never go wrong right? Because it's true, “....sometimes things happen in life and love’s put on hold. But if someone’s your soul mate, nothing is going to stop you from being together in the end.”

But then again, hasn’t it always been there? Because love is like magic. You can question it— how it happens, when it will happen, why it bowls you over when it does happen, and how you existed before it happened—but you might never get the answer. Sometimes you just have to believe in it and its process.

I declare Sweet Cheeks consumed me and owned me. It's so beautiful and brilliantly written. Now go read the book and feel the love. And when you're finish reading the it, you will never look at cupcakes the same way again. Trust me when I say, cupcakes now held so much meaning. And don't ever forget in love,

“Words are cheap.Actions prove everything.”

New York Times Bestselling author K. Bromberg writes contemporary novels that contain a mixture of sweet, emotional, a whole lot of sexy, and a little bit of real. She likes to write strong heroines, and damaged heroes who we love to hate and hate to love. She’s a mixture of most of her female characters: sassy, intelligent, stubborn, reserved, outgoing, driven, emotional, strong, and wears her heart on her sleeve. All of which she displays daily with her husband and three children where they live in Southern California. On a whim, K. Bromberg decided to try her hand at this writing thing. Since then she has written The Driven Series (Driven, Fueled, Crashed, Raced, Aced), the standalone Driven Novels (Slow Burn, Sweet Ache, Hard Beat, and Down Shift), and a novella (UnRaveled). She is currently finishing up Sweet Cheeks a standalone novel out November 14th. Her plans for 2017 include a sports romance duet (2 books: The Player, The Catch) and the Everyday Heroes series (3 books: Cuffed, Combust, and Cockpit). She’s also writing a novella for the 1,001 Dark Night series that will be out in February 2017. She loves to hear from her readers so make sure you check her out on social media.
