With the kind of power the mayor of Savannah has, will he get a chance to the single mom? Will he put her guard down? Will he win over her trust?

" I want chance to win you over", Will you let me try? "

Oooohhhh...this book is a blend of humor..swoony moments...bickering-bantering-loling scenes...cute ones that will warm your heart and of course those sizzling hot scenes, but what really amazed me was how Adrianna Locke delivered a story that could really pull you into it without wanting it to end. The characters were adorable.. First off, Huxley, I fell for this kid...he's really so adorable yet smart and witty I wanted to have a kid like him. Barrett's way of interacting with him is just brilliant and I love how there was no overly drama that was going on between each other's family. The secondary characters were even more likable and I love how Adrianna had written it in a way that just blended so well.Barrett for f*cks sake! I'm not really into BBF's with political lines but he has a soft spot in my heart. His determination and humility in wooing Allison just did it for me added with his love for his family and his hot smoking wicked ways and I was a goner. Allison on the other hand, well... I like her because of how she handled herself all through out her past and now taking good care of her son. Her will to go on with living despite the baggage from the past but I admit there were times I wanted to smack some sense into her and maybe just maybe slap too.

I really liked certain parts of this story. Barrett was like a breath of fresh air for me and I appreciated that. He was very charming and he didn't waste any time in saying or getting what he wanted. He loved his job, his family and his able to bring some humor in the most unlikely scenes. I also loved his relationship with Hux. He was very respectful and treated him like a growing adult that mattered.

What I didn't like was the OTT drama and Alison's reaction to it. I felt like she jumped to conclusions waaaay to fast and that pissed me off. Don't get me wrong, I genuinely felt for her and I understood why she would feel that way, but she made it worse for herself and I wished she would've done the opposite

Aside from that, we really enjoyed this story and we can't wait for Lincoln's book! That man can swing his bat shirtless ANY.TIME. Hot baseball player? Sign us up! We would also like to say that we will NEVER, EVER EVER EVER,look at grapes the same way again!! LAWD HAVE MERCY. Ms.Locke definetely gave us some new ideas to work with ;) #get graped.
