In New York Times and USA Today bestselling author Kristen Proby’s brand new series, five best friends open a hot new restaurant, but one of them gets much more than she bargained for when a sexy former rock star walks through the doors—and into her heart.

Seduction is quickly becoming the hottest new restaurant in Portland, and Addison Wade is proud to claim 1/5 of the credit. She’s determined to make it a success and can’t think of a better way to bring in new customers than live music. But when former rock star Jake Keller swaggers through the doors to apply for the weekend gig, she knows she’s in trouble. Addie instantly recognizes him—his posters were plastered all over her bedroom walls in high school—he’s all bad boy…exactly her type and exactly what she doesn’t need.

Jake Keller walked away from the limelight five years ago and yearns to return to what’s always driven him: the music. If he gets to work for a smart-mouthed, funny-as-hell bombshell, all the better. But talking Addie into giving him the job is far easier than persuading her that he wants more than a romp in her bed. Just when she begins to drop her walls, Jake’s past finally catches up with him.

Will Addie be torn apart once again or will Jake be able to convince her to drown out her doubts and listen to her heart?

Yowza! This book really grabbed my me hooked and made me fall in love all over again and it's official! I just had a new addition to my list of BBF's. Jake Keller is just swooon worthy!!!
“A sexy-as-fuck hot mess,” Kat replies. “God, look at the way his muscles bunch as he plays.” Trust me, I noticed. You’d have to be blind with an IQ of minus 20 to not notice the way Jake Knox moves. He makes everything in me come awake. Which makes sense because he’s probably been trained to do that. He has to sell music, after all.
Let me use Addie's line in this book,
"He makes everything in me come awake."
Oh yes!!!Listen To Me just did it!!!

So, this first book in the series intrigued me the moment I read the blurb. And man, Kristen Proby did not disappoint. This book exceeds my expectations. I couln't believe I read it in just one sitting and could not put it down even for a minute. I was so drawn into the story and keep looking for more, because damn this book is so worth it. I was captivated.

Let me start by saying, I love how the story started. A bunch of intimidating friends...“Gorgeous, intelligent, powerful women...Isn't it amazing???No it's definitely fantastic. I love how their characters were portrayed and I love how crazy amazing they are. Their bond is so damn tight I wish they were non fictional characters and I'm one of them. Oooohhhh I so love this friendship thing.

But, Listen To Me primarily focused on Addie and Jake Keller. Uh...uh..These two were one of those characters you'll gonna root for.
Mine. Yes, she’s mine. Whether that’s for the short term, or for the long haul, I’m not sure yet, but I know that the thought of another man putting his hands on her makes me want to punch someone.~Jake
It’s him. He knows what I need to make me feel better. He listens without judgment. For the first time in my life, a man wants to take care of me. Because he cares for me. And this is new.~Addie
The moment you read their story you'll gonna feel that pull that made you so excited to know more about them. That pull that will keep you turning the pages because you're that eager to read what might happen next but at the same time you'll gonna wish it's not gonna end and if it is even possible to read if they'll gonna have kids...etc..etc...Crazy but definitely true. Those were what I felt as I read the book. The words and story just flowed flawlessly it was clear enough that this book was written with great heart and emotion.

Don't get me wrong, there's no heavy drama involved although both of them got a baggage that inhibits the growing feelings they both have for each other. In fact this is your rocker romance without so much drama and angst more often than not you'll gonna laugh so loud people might think you're crazy. Their banters were so damn unforgettable even now that I finished reading it I can't help but smile and daydream what a beautiful scenario it is. This is also your kind of book that needs to be experienced and read personally so you could have a much vivid picture of what I'm talking ablout. And oh...The sex scenes were great too but then there's this scene that really melt my heart and I so love about,
“What are you doing?” Excellent question, sweetheart. I believe this is called comforting without the expectation of sex afterward. And it’s a completely new experience for me. “Curing cancer.” I tug her to me, tangle our legs, and wrap my arms around her as she rests her head on my chest. “We could both use some comforting, I think.”
oh and there's more...
Holy mother of God, that feels good. “I’m not having sex with you,” I say primly and try to inch away from him. “I didn’t invite you to. Stop squirming.” He nuzzles my neck, making my eyes cross, and continues to play my stomach like a freaking guitar. Then he pushes more firmly against me, making me giggle. “Whatever it is that’s pressed to my ass disagrees with you.”“That’s nothing. Just a flashlight.” I burst out laughing. “Do you carry a flashlight in your pocket often?”“Mostly just in the morning,” he replies seriously and kisses my neck, right under my ear, and my hips circle involuntarily. My nipples are puckered, and I know my panties are soaked. This man is potent. Dangerous. So fucking hot.
Seriously, the book is lighthearted and fast paced but there's no denying the emotion and heartwarming feeling you'll gonna get as you read the book and more importantly as you finished it. It is a blend of friendship, letting go of the past and learning to fall in love baggage and all mixed with humor and sizzling hotness. Hilarious but romantic.

Kristen Proby clearly did great with this. There's no denying she nailed it!!!
And there's no denying also that the next in the series will be much awaited.

“It’s our song,” she says softly. “No, baby, it’s your song. We don’t need a song. We are a song.”
