You Keep Breaking Us by Carrie Aarons is live!

We were the ultimate example of that couple who can't live with each other, but can't seem to function without each other.
The minute I met Callum Strass at fifteen, I was a goner. We were the golden couple of our high school. The king and queen of prom, the sweethearts voted most likely to get married and have babies, and the absolute idiots who decided to attend the same college.
Because that's when it all fell apart. The naïve, puppy love versions of ourselves couldn't see the obvious cracks we'd had back in our hometown. But they sure revealed themselves when we started living in an off-campus house together with four of our other friends.
Within a semester, blow-out fights, jealousy, every-other-week breakups, and my abandonment issues had him bowing out. Not just on me, but on the house, too. Until our senior year, when his parents refuse to keep paying rent on two places.
So he moves back in, and I'm forced to live with my ex. The one who has ruined all other men for me. The one I still cry myself to sleep at night thinking about. The one who confesses, during a run-in in a dark hallway, that he hates how much he still loves me.
And when he starts dating again, he might as well plunge a knife straight through my heart. Despite our breakup, I'm on the verge of losing him for real this time, and possibly forever. The only option is to seek help for my deep-seated trauma, the thing that Callum always encouraged me to see someone about. The thing that eventually pushed him away.
Put two of the most driven, headstrong, and passionate people in any relationship and it's bound to combust. We've always had that twin flame kind of love.
So, together we might burn. But we also might heal.

From the moment you look at the cover for this book, one word pops up into your head. Heartbreak. Not that little pain where at the end of the day, you’re feeling ok about everything. No, this is the kind of heartbreak that is gut wrenching and soul crushing where it feels like your emotions are on fire 24/7. That is the feeling that I got when I looked at this book but sadly, that’s not what I felt when I read it.

You Keep Breaking Us is the story of long time lovers Bevan and Callum who have broken up and are trying to navigate their College Senior year without each other. But with a tight knit group of friends and Callum moving back in to their house, avoiding each other is going to be mission impossible. They've hurt each other in the past and sometimes some wounds can't be healed.

Now that they’re around each other full time now, Callum and Bevan are finding it difficult to move on from their past and each other. But when tensions arise and more blame is thrown around, can this couple finally make their way back to each other?
As I’ve said earlier, I was really expecting to be hit with all the feels and sadly that never happened for me. I didn't feel the passion, the anger or the betrayal for anything and if i'm being completely honest, the only thing that I felt was frustration. I needed Bevan to calm the f*ck down sometimes and I really wanted to smack Callum for his idiocy.
Even though I didn't love this one as much as I thought I would, it was still and ok read for me.

TASTE, an all-new sexy, stranded enemies-to lovers rom com from USA Today and #1 Amazon bestselling author Melanie Harlow is live now!

The last person on earth I want to be stranded with is Gianni Lupo.
But thanks to the blizzard of the century, I’m trapped in a roadside motel room with that cocky bastard for two straight days.
With one small bed.
Some women might thank Mother Nature for delivering a polar vortex that maroons them with six feet of solid muscle, those deep blue eyes, that sexy grin--but not me. I’ve known Gianni Lupo all my life, and he’s never brought me anything but bad luck and trouble.
So when the tension between us explodes with enough fiery heat to melt my icy defenses, I should have known what the disastrous end result would be--
A big fat plus sign.
After the snow melts, I’m left with more than just memories of the night we spent keeping each other warm. And he might be a rising star on the culinary scene, but he’s got no idea how to handle this bun in the oven.
He says he wants to do the right thing, but I’m not about to spend the rest of my life feeling like someone settled for me.
But just when I think I’ve got Gianni Lupo all figured out, he gives me a taste of the man he could be, of the family we could become, of the way he could love me if I let him.
I’m terrified of falling for him.
But one taste might be all it takes.

From the moment they were toddlers, Ellie and Gianni have had a love/ hate relationship that has surpassed the end of time. Now that they're both grown ups and in their twenties, you would think that the feeling has died down but there's still a burning need to mess with each other. When they get stuck in a snow storm for two days, that hate filled desire to destroy each other turns into a built up sexual tension that's a ticking time bomb.

I really enjoyed the little bit of humor between Ellie and Gianni and I liked that they've known each other since they were little. We got glimpses of their childhood together and I liked seeing how they interacted with each other at such a young age. I would've loved to see some more flashbacks and having them spend more time together because I felt like that was rushed. I also wanted to shake some sense into the heroine because if I'm being honest, that girl was testing my patience a bit.

Excerpt
I sat at the foot of the bed and dialed Winnie’s number. She picked up immediately.
“Ellie?”
“Hey.”
“Thank God! You guys okay?”
“We’re fine.” I watched Gianni unwrap a candy bar and lean back against the headboard. “We found a motel with a vacancy.”
“You mean you’re staying in a motel room together?” she asked, loud enough for Gianni to overhear.
“Yeah. And there’s only one bed.”
She laughed. “How’s that going?”
“Fine.”
“You guys are getting along?”
Gianni made a lewd gesture involving his fist, his tongue, and his inner cheek. I gave him the finger. “As well you’d expect.”
“I can’t wait to hear about it.”
“We’re going to try to get out of here as soon as we can in the morning. I’ll let you know when we’re on the road.”
“Sounds good.” She laughed again. “Sleep tight.”
“Oh. We will.” I eyed the length of the bed. “We have no choice.”
After ending the call, I opened the Truth or Drink app on my phone and picked up my wine. “Ready to play?”
“Hit me.”
I scrolled through the options. “Do you want to play normal mode, party mode, or dirty mode?
Gianni looked at me like I was crazy. “Duh.”
I sighed and reached for my wine. “Okay, fine. I feel like I’m going to regret this, but dirty it is.”
“Can I take my pants off?”
“No. What’s your age range for a one night-stand?”
“Hmm.” Gianni thought for a moment.
“Please say at least eighteen.”
“No teenagers. I’ll say twenty to forty-five.”
“Forty-five? Really?”
He shrugged. “I think mature women are hot. But I can’t go near fifty because that’s my mom’s age and then it would be weird.”
“Right.”
“So what about you? Same question.”
“I’d have to say . . . thirty to forty.”
He looked offended. “Why thirty? You’re only twenty-three.”
And so was he, which was why I’d said it. “I know, but I think older men are just better in bed.” (I’d actually never been with anyone over twenty-eight.)
“In what way?”
“Just . . . more patient. More knowledgeable. More generous. Guys in their twenties think they’re all that just because they have younger bodies, especially if they’re—you know—well-endowed. But it’s not just the size of the boat. It’s definitely the motion of the ocean.”
He harrumphed. “You’ve been in the wrong boats.”

Well we were dying for the second installment and practically begging for more and we definitely got an eyeful and then some. If you left the first book thinking that you're going to get a slow passionate reunion with hearts and flowers, then you are in for one rude awakening.
It’s been four years since Nell has seen Darius and from that time, she’s grown into a stronger independent woman who is trying to navigate a career. They say time heals all wounds but for Nell and Darius, seeing each other again after all this time is like ripping it wide open. When they’re in each other's paths for a completely different reason, temptation won't be the only thing that these two will have to face.

I really don't want to give anything away with this story but I will say that I was not expecting these turn of events. We were heavily deep into a type of storyline that felt so traumatic in a sense because you know that these things happen in real life and you want nothing more than to close your eyes and pretend that they don't exist but they do.
Even though this storyline was a bit more heavier than I anticipated, I still loved the journey. Nell and Darius went through hell and they fought and sacrificed for each other when it was needed. Their love was dangerous and beautiful and I really can't wait to see what their ending is going to look like.
If you haven't started this series yet, I highly recommend that you do.
Wrong. Sinful. Taboo.
I know I shouldn’t want him.
I know I shouldn’t touch myself in the middle of the night as thoughts of him run through my mind.
Thoughts of his kiss, his touch, his love.
I’d spent years obsessing over the man I thought I couldn’t have.
But as it turns out, he wants me too.
And he wants me now.

Is it hot in here because.....DAYUM!!! The things that went on in this book was deliciously sinful and let me tell you, NOTHING was held back. I thought that this was going to be a quick taboo read where I would forget about these characters by the time that I was finished with the final chapter, but I was wrong. So wrong.

Gabrielle has been determined to be fully focused on closing out her freshman year of College with no distraction. With good friends, a loving tight knit family, what more could a young woman ask for? There's just one thing that's missing and it comes in the form of a very forbidden love. But what happens when the one person you thought was completely off limits has wanted you all along?

Not only did this book push the taboo limit but this author did something that is rarely done sometimes when it comes to stories like these. She made you a part of their journey and she showed you the good, the bad, and the downside of having a taboo romance like theirs.
I really loved seeing these characters in all of their elements and I know there's a special place for me, but I was genuinely rooting for their happiness all the way. We not only saw and felt the struggle of their love, but we also witnessed how powerful that same love was.

My only complaint was that I wished we would've gotten more of them doing different things. Aside from that, I truly enjoyed this one and if you're a fan of this genre, you're going to love this!!

The storm.
The man.
Both come without warning.
My heart opens to Cooper Haywood the moment we meet. How can it resist? He’s charming, devastatingly handsome, and sweeps me off my feet before I realize the impact he’s making. And then it’s too late.
We fall too fast to worry about the consequences.
We love so hard that we ache when we’re apart.
Even though I have a past that still haunts me and he has a future that could put us at risk, none of that matters when we’re together.
Until it does.
And then everything changes.
Although the best thing he ever gave me now calls me Mommy, I can’t help but wonder if Cooper Haywood and that fateful storm were one and the same.

This was a long journey!! These characters who had no business being together, found something pure and genuine in each other and fell in love. I love those kinds of stories and even though I was expecting something entirely different from this, it still held my attention.
With a storm rolling in, Story has no idea that the customer entering the coffee shop is going to turn her life upside down and change her in ways that she never expected. What starts as a chance encounter, quickly turns into a whirlwind romance that is filled with passion, love and heartbreak. But can they survive the storm?

I really liked that these characters found ways to do what was best for them early on in their relationship and they made time to explore things. This was an extremely instant romance and if I'm being honest, I'm not a fan of those. Things moved too quickly for my liking and I wanted them to slow down a bit and just enjoy the relationship more.
This story is told in three parts where we have the past which is the majority of the book, the present, and a bit of time jump into the future. I really liked seeing the past from both pov's with the main characters but I felt like a lot of things were too much and unnecessary and that hindered my reading experience. I could've done without some of the drama and secrets that felt like it was more of a shock value to stir up even MORE drama. I think of some of those things were left out, I would've enjoyed the story much more.
If you're looking for second chance new adult romance, you might enjoy this one. What didn't work for me, might just be the thing that makes you love it even more.
