-What inspired you to start writing?
I’ve always written things when was nine or ten, I wrote a story about a bear. In my teen years, I wrote non-stop little stories and poems. I don’t think any one specific thing or person inspired me.
-What's your favorite genre to write and/or read?
To write? Paranormal romance.
To read? Historical romance.
-Do you plan or go with the flow when it comes to writing?
Mostly go with the flow, I occasionally plan.
-Tease us! What are you currently working on? What can readers expect from your next book and/or future works?
I’ve just finished up working on a m/m rugby romance called After the Scrum which should be out sometime in April. I’ve also been working on a secret summer project about two old childhood friends who suddenly realize they’ve fallen in love along the way and never knew it.
Dahlia Donovan started out working in the insurance world. After ten years, she morphed her love of investigating accidents and studying people into writing about them. She's a bit of a hermit and despises being in front of a camera. Her life wouldn't be complete without her husband and her massive collection of books and video games.

-What inspired you to start writing?
I actually started writing the first time I could hold a pen, believe it or not. I already made my first little booklet when I was 6, made out of paper and glue :P. I don't think I ever stopped writing, really. Usually, I would come up with these elaborate worlds in my head and sometimes pen it out, but at the time I wasn't mature enough to write down the stuff that went on in my mind. Luckily, I'm much more experienced with words now so I can finally put all my stories on paper and let people read them :D It was always a dream of mine to become an author, and I never stopped believing! Even in highschool, when people would call me insane because I told them I was going to be the new JK Rowling (bwahahaha), I never gave up. And here I am ... writing my stories and people actually want to read them :) That's awesome.

I LOVE Dark Romance. I think it's because of the allure those bad boys have, because they're not really 'bad', they just made different choices and are misunderstood. I like to delve through the human psyche and let my books revolve around the difficult notions of what is right and wrong, what makes us human, but more importantly, what makes us tick. I always need to plan. I need to have an outline first, otherwise nothing comes out of my fingers, haha. I usually start thinking up books about 6/12 months before I actually write them, then I let them ferment (sort of speak) before I actually pen down the outline. The outline is usually written in about 1/2 days, depending on the difficulty.

I'm currently working on a book called VIKTOR, which is a Standalone Romance inspired by a fairy tale. -What inspired you to start writing?
When I was a kid, that's what I liked to do. I wrote all the time, but hated my handwriting, still do. I was excited when I got my first electric typewriter, and overjoyed when I got access to a computer back then. Mostly, I had stories bottled up in my head that I'd relive in my daydreams, over and over again. I was always yelled at for daydreaming. I still do that, too.
-What's your favorite genre to write and/or read?
Contemporary romance for both.
-Do you plan or go with the flow when it comes to writing?
I do outline. I strive so hard to stick to it. However, when I'm writing, like so many other writers, I see a movie playing in my head and I transcribe it. So often, I veer from the outline because I let the characters take the wheel, therefore, a lot of times, I'm reading the book, wondering what will happen, just like my readers. The book really does take on a life of its own. It's scary.
-Tease us! What are you currently working on? What can readers expect from your next book and/or future works?
My next book is the fourth book in my Wild Sparks series, Enduring the Wild Sparks, which releases April 26, 2016. It's the aftermath of what happened in the third book, Igniting the Wild Sparks. Hadley Beckett is on the road to redemption. She has to figure out a way to fight her way back from Hell, or be relegated to a life there forever.

A.D. Ellis spends the majority of her days loving and wrangling two school-aged children, a husband, and a Yorkie with a stubborn streak a mile wide before heading to the inner city of Indiana to teach a challenging group of alternative education students in grades third through sixth. Most days she hits the gym after school in hopes of running and lifting away the stress and headaches of the day before picking up her children and squeezing a whole day’s worth of loving and living into the too-short hours before bed. It’s no wonder Ms. Ellis lives for the slower, easier days she gets to enjoy on breaks from school.
Growing up in a small farming town in southern Indiana, A.D. is grateful to her mother for passing along the love of reading. With her nose constantly stuck in a book, Ms. Ellis became accustomed to friends and acquaintances snickering and shaking their heads at her love of reading.

I've wanted to write for a long time, but I started with an idea I had and ran with it. I started writing and haven't stopped since.

I love to write them all lol. I write NA, erotica, contemporary, paranormal, and fantasy. All romance. And to read would have to be YA fantasy or paranormal romance.

I can't plot. I shoot from the hip when I write. The story is always changing and I roll with it.

-What inspired you to start writing?Can I say the voices in my head? I’ve always loved to read and so it wasn’t a great stretch to start putting my thoughts on paper.

I love to read Historical Romance, but I’m best at writing Contemporary Western Romance.

A little of both. I’m not very good at outlines and I always have to update due to changes that just happen to show up. My characters are vastly indecisive in their plot lines. I like that, but it can drive others crazy. The more I try to control it, the less I want to write. It’s a love/hate relationship.

I’m currently working on the last Black Hills Novella and the 2nd book in my Broken Country novels, Chasing Taryn. I’m loving my clean YA books!
Chasing Taryn (Levi & Taryn, #2) (Excerpt)
“Stewing about it is not going to make everything right again.” James took a bit and chewed with thoughtfulness. “There’s only one way to fix what’s on your mind, Levi. Tell Taryn how you feel.”Levi shook his head, setting down the pie. “She told me she loved me today, but it didn’t mean what I wanted it to mean. She made it clear that she’s in love with Dustin and she wants the adventure that he can offer her.” He pushed out of his chair and paced the few feet beside his chair. He could feel their sympathetic eyes on him and it made the wound burn all the more for it.
“I need to find a way to get passed whatever I thought we could be together. Pretty soon I won’t be tied to her every move or ache for every smile. I will have to live on my own with my future in mind.” Levi was aware he was half shouting to the darkness and to himself. This was probably the worst pep talk he had ever given, but he knew very well that he had the penchant to pine for Taryn Green long after she left him.
“That’s it, then. We move you along to someone else.” Alex jumped from his chair and fished out his cell phone. James watched from his seat as if this were a side show at the circus. Levi ran his fingers through his dark hair with nervous tension.
“What’s it?” Levi hesitated to ask, but he had known Alex for a very long time. Everything about this look spelled trouble with a capital T.
“You need to broaden your horizon, my friend. There is a whole ocean out there and I bet we can find at least one girl that’ll strike your fancy.” Alex wiggled his eye brows. Levi’s eyes widened in horror.
“You’re referring to girls as fish and I don’t want anyone to strike anything.” Levi looked at his granddad who was laughing so hard he nearly choked on his pie.
“Oh, come on, Levi! Open your eyes, son. There are other girls out there and no one is saying that you have to kiss the first one you meet.” James shook his head and reached for another piece of pie. It looked like the pan would soon be abandoned to him anyway.
“No, that’s a brilliant idea!” Alex shouted and hopped up and down. “I am going to bet you two hundred dollars that you won’t kiss one girl tonight.” He fished into his jeans pocket and pulled out two crisp one hundred dollar bills. Levi stood there dumbfounded at the length these two would go to push him passed Taryn.

5)We're super intrigued about Nothing Ever Lasts. It's on our TBR, and we know it's about a not-so-perfect husband. Could you tell us more about the story?LOL...Sure. Boyd is your typical tattoo model who has gotten a bit of a BIG head from all the attention from his fans. And then there’s Kailee who is an author who writes under a pen name and when they meet for the first time she’s talked into doing a cover shoot with him. And she intrigues Boyd more than anything. But after their one night he knows it’ll never work and pushes her away. Only to run into her a year later and once he finds out what’s happened he becomes the biggest asshole ever. The book follows their first year of marriage and how it’s not always the answer. And even if you do learn to love one another it may be too late to actually work. And throughout the book you’ll see Boyd grow out of his “I’m a model” ego and into “I’m Boyd...just a regular guy”.
