This Life and All the Rest by Brit Benson is LIVE and FREE with Kindle Unlimited!

 Release Date: November 15

She thinks our story is over.
It’s just beginning.

Lennon Washington has been the star of every dream, every nightmare, since the day I lost her.
Since the moment I let my demons win, and she slipped through my fingers.

Her memory has haunted me.
Changed me.
Broken me and remade me.
And I’d all but given up on us.

Now tragedy has brought her back into my life.
My secrets are at her disposal,
Hers are unraveling quickly,
And every emotion we’ve tried to deny is returning with a vengeance.

But we’re not kids anymore.
We have changed drastically.
And with each new ache, I start to wonder,

Is there a place for us in this life,
Or will we have to try again in the next one?

This is my fourth book this past week and my first five star read, so thank you, Brit Benson! Time after time, I read and love the first half of a duet only to be thoroughly disappointed with the conclusion. Thankfully, that wasn't the case here. This Life and All the Rest is just as fantastic as it's predecessor!

Macon and Lennon have come so far since the cliffhanger at the end of book one. They've both grown and changed as individuals and faced substantial hardships all while gaining respect and success along the way. The main difference between the two is while Lennon was trying to move on and put Macon behind her, Macon was trying to become the man he needed to be to be worthy of Lennon.

Macon put Lennon through a lot of shit in The Love of My Next Life, and she hasn't forgotten a second of it. She's trying her best to learn from her previous mistakes and resist Macon's pull, and I can't blame her for it one bit. As much as I wanted Lennon to fall into Macon's arms immediately and forget everything else, she had good reason to fight against that.

Thank God Macon more than redeemed himself in the end. He had me swooning all over the place, and I know I'm not alone! I honestly don't know how Lennon kept her vag to herself for as long as she did. Just sayin'.

I was glad to see I was wrong about some of the characters in this duet and sad to see I was right about one of them. I'm crossing my fingers that we get more stories from these characters in the future. Sam and Casper seem like an obvious choice to get a book next, but I'm wondering about Claire, too. Anytime an author slips in sympathy and reasoning for a character's horrible behavior at any point in a story, I always look for them to try to redeem said character at some point. In this case, it would be a enormous challenge, but that's also why I would read it. That being said, I can't stand the bitch. Lol

This Life and All the Rest is angsty, sexy, emotional, and full of drama. My heart ached for these characters, and it melted just the same. If you enjoyed the first half of Macon and Lennon's story, I have no doubt you'll love the finale.

Meet Brit Benson

Brit Benson writes romance novels that are sassy, sexy, and sweet.

When she’s not dreaming up her next swoony book boyfriend and fierce book bestie, she’s reading.

When she’s not reading, she’s probably marathoning a Netflix series or wandering aimlessly up and down the aisles in Homegoods.

Brit currently resides somewhere near the Blue Ridge Parkway with her husband, daughters, and dogs.
