Though I never read anything by V. F. Mason before now, I still anticipated the hell out of this book. After reading the blurb, I added it to my tbr immediately. I love a story with a serial killer for a main character! Throw in a romance between said killer and a criminal psychologist, and I'm sold!  

Ella's entire family was slaughtered when she was just a teenager. She came home from a party to find them lying in pools of their own blood. As if that wasn't tragic enough, she finds out the killer is someone close to her after they arrest them during her high school graduation.

Haunted by her past, Ella pursues a job in law enforcement. She studies everything she can about serial killers and what makes them tick. Due to her history, she struggles to find anyone willing to hire her in the field she desires. When Ella finally gets a chance to work for the FBI, she's thrilled. Until, the unthinkable happens, and the serial killer she's investigating sets his sites on her. 

Psychopath's Prey is a twisted romance between two people that are the victims of horrific events endured in their childhood. As a result of their trauma, one of them becomes a criminal psychologist and the other becomes a serial killer. Throughout much of the book, we aren't sure of the identity of the killer causing the anticipation to build like crazy until the reveal.

This story is full of mystery, suspense, and steam that will make your heart ache for a serial killer. It's dark, captivating, and wonderfully written! If you're like me and enjoy unconventional romances, I recommend this one to you!!

About the Author: V.F.Mason always loved reading books and had quite a few fights with her momma over the genre she liked (romance, duh!) She studied filmmaking and thought that would feed her desire for stories, but that didn’t happen. Finally, when she was tired of all those voices in her head, she sat down and wrote a book. It was a huge decision to make and she thanks her friends and family for supporting her in it. When she is not writing, she can be found with her friends doing all sorts of crazy things or reading recent romance books that were written by her favorite authors.
