Everyone knows by now how addictive Aly Martinez books are and whether she gives us Duets or Trilogies, we get stir crazy waiting for the next book. These books were no different and even though I was expecting more out of this final one, I'm still happy that I got to experience this Trilogy.
Picking up where book 2 left off, we were thrown right into the chaos of some shocking events. Now dealing with the repercussions, Remi is trying to come to terms with everything and are now taking steps to move forward. But with a past like theirs, can everything really be forgotten?
The one thing that I really loved about this story is the determination and love you felt throughout the entire journey. These characters were selfless and they didn't just say they were in love, they showed you. With every sacrifice, every thought was always for the best interest for their loved one and I loved seeing that.
Now don't get me wrong, I was really expecting a little more excitement for this finale and I think that certain things could've been different because it affected the dynamic of the main characters but hey..
If you're a fan of this author, then you're going to fall in love with this new Trilogy.

The one thing that I can always count on Jewel E Ann for is her never ending humor in her stories. No matter the storyline, the characters, the location, you can expect to find some type of laughter in her stories and I love that. You never have to question whether you’re going to enjoy the book or not and the only thing that you’ll be asking is.. can I have more?
Dr. Sophie Ryan is living a hot mess life. Professionally she has a successful small business and owns her own home but on the personal side? She’s a hot mess. Deciding to make a life changing decision for the greater good, Sophie is now entering an unknown territory that is scary and thrilling at the same time because the end goal is going to be worth it for so many people. But on top of that and swearing off men, Sophie meets Shep who works at the local pet store, it makes her question everything about men and timing.
After being newly divorced, the last thing that Shep wants to do is to get back into the dating world. Starting over is never easy and going through more complicated relationships to just repeat a cycle again is not on his to do list. But he never saw the quirky beautiful doctor coming from a mile away with blaring neon lights and it was hook.line and sinker for him. They say love creeps up on you when you least expect it but for Sophie and Shep, being in love is the least of their problems.
I really loved the fact that this storyline felt refreshing in a sense. It had the meet cute moment in the beginning but I fell in love with the banter and the impending complication on a certain matter. It was different to read something like that and I have to admit that I loved the hero more than the heroine. She tested me a few times if I’m being honest and I hated some of her actions.
With so many complications and back and forth with this story, there was something still unputdownable about it. It was funny, messy, sexy, and we saw real life being played out right before our very eyes. If you're in the mood for a rom com friends to lovers romance, then you might want to give this one a try.

I should've known better than to think that this was going to be a smooth light read.
I should've heed the warning in my brain that somewhere along the line, I'm going to get my heart bruised.
I should've braced for impact and put my emotions and my freakin heart in a bubble wrap like I wanted to do all along.
Should've.
Could've.
Would've.
Didn't.
Now I'm paying the price of that and the only thing that can make me feel better in this moment is to get me book two right now!!! The Confidence Of Wildflowers is not your typical forbidden steamy romance. This was the story about two people who found the best in each other and decided that they were worth it. Their past didn't matter and in their own way, they helped each other healed. This was a slow burn addictive story that showed you all of the sides to loving and being in love with someone that you didn't see coming. It heartwarming, sweet, sexy, charming and when you least expected it, it tugged on your heartstrings and made you appreciate life even more.
Thayer and Salem’s relationship started out as this professional neighbor relationship that grew into friendship and slowly turned into something more. It was unexpected and slow moving but their attraction was explosive and you felt it when they were close to each other. But with an age gap and Thayer being a newly divorced single dad, what does that mean for their future relationship? Will they finally give into Temptation?
I really went into this story thinking that it was going to be a nice steamy read with a few hiccups along the way and I have to say that I’m so glad that I was wrong. This turned out to be so much more and aside from that gut punch that I’m still feeling and not having this told in dual pov, I enjoyed it. I’m going to be on pins and needles waiting for the final book because not only do we need answers from that cliffhanger, I need an HEA for my sanity!
If you haven't read anything from this author yet, I highly recommend that you start right now!!!!

I love a good friends to lovers romance but when you throw in the daring tension and make them enemies? I'm all in! It feels like an adrenaline rush and you find yourself being giddy over the anticipation because you know it's going to be good. What's better than sexual tension and fiery Banter? Off the wall explosive chemistry. I was so sure that I was going to get this with this book but I ended up getting something different.
Harleigh and Nix have been childhood best friend's who have always had each other's back. Being from the wrong side of town has made them different in some people's eyes but as long as they had each other, nothing else mattered. But that all changed when tragedy struck forcing Harleigh to be thrown into a new upper class world that makes being from the Row, unacceptable. I really wanted to fall in love with this and I think that if there weren't so many misunderstandings or lack of communication, I would've enjoyed it more. Harleigh and Nix both had a lot going in their personal lives and I really felt for them and saw how much they were trying to do the right things every day. They weren't perfect and they definitely showed it with their messed up decisions sometimes but I needed them to communicate for my sanity!
Seeing that this is a duet, I really hope that book two is going to be a little more smoother and we get some answers around the mystery.

This has been one heck of a journey and reading the last few pages genuinely felt bittersweet. A part of me is extremely happy that I got to know these characters and witness their all consuming forbidden love and another part of me is sad that this is all over. But you know what they say…
After that heart stopping ending in Feathers and Flames, Nell is a woman on a mission. Leaving every stone unturned she goes out of her way to get answers and by doing so, she unknowingly dug up secrets that were meant to stay buried. Now with more urgency than ever, Nell has to decide if the one thing that she’s fighting for is worth it.
I have to say that as much as I loved these characters early on in the first book, they completely owned me in this final chapter. I’m not a fan of some of the heavy things that took place in this trilogy if i'm being quite honest, but when it comes to Nell and Daruis as characters themselves, this author truly was astounding. The growth and the fierceness that came from Nell was something that I loved watching and you couldn't help but to root for her and her goals.
As for Darius himself, there was nothing that he didn't do and when I tell you he moved heaven and earth to protect Nell, he did. What felt like it was going to be this alluring forbidden romance with roaring sexual tension, was so much more. This man fell in love and didn't even know that he was falling. He was changing right before our eyes and we witnessed his evolution to the person that he was always meant to be and that was because of Nell.
I know that not everyone is familiar with this author and her work but if you’re looking for a new trilogy to start, I highly recommend that you do it with these books. These will go down as some of my favorite books for the year so far.
