Kate Stewart delivered an emotional story and showed us what it’s like to be a police officer. She showed us the beauty of knowing that when you put on a uniform, you’re risking your life to not only help others, but to make a huge difference. She showed us what it’s like to love a partner that puts himself in the line of fire EVERYDAY and what it means to have a brotherhood.

For all the beauty in the world, this author also gave us a glimpse into another side that comes with the job and the way she depicted both sides was something that I admired. Michelle and Rowdy were two of the most lovable a and frustrating characters I’ve ever had the pleasure of reading about and I wouldn’t have had it any other way.
We were locked bodies and scarred souls completely exposed. And it was okay because I wanted him to have piece of mine.
Having lived through her own personal hell, Michelle is now at a point in her life where everything is good. She takes care of herself, has her own career, and answer to no one. Being a 911 dispatcher is stressful but what makes her job more worthwhile is not only knowing that she’s offering some sense of calm in a very hectic situation, but getting to hear the voice of the hottest Sergeant in Charleston? Day. Made.

“I don’t fuck and fall in love, no matter how good it feels.”
I fell in love with this story so hard!! Rowdy and Michelle were two passionate characters that put their all into everything they did. They both had their own demons and seeing how they each dealt with it so differently was what I loved about this story. They were good times, heartstopping moments, but the loyalty and love always remained the same. This is why we read. To feel the emotional connection to the characters that we secretly wish we could be and bask in all the angst filled sexy goodness. If you’re a fan of hot cops, feisty heroines, and a beautiful love story in the making, this one is for you guys.

“I don’t fuck and fall in love, no matter how good it feels.” I rolled my eyes as he made a quick move and gripped my face firmly. His eyes were dead serious.

“Tell me you heard me.”
Gah! This book!! It has all the feels. In as much as I want to say that Major Love is my favorite book of Kate Stewart, The Brave Line topped it. This is her best book to date and I am loving it to bits!! Ahhh I coudn't thank enough Anne of AC Book Blog for introducing me to this awesome author. Because of her, I've been a fan of Kate and her works.Yeah, you get the idea. Been stalking her and her love for Kate is contagious and here I am, with all heart eyes and a warm heart after reading her masterpiece.

So, The Brave Line..where do I begin? To be honest, I find it hard to write a review of this book. Aside from it was so different from her other works, the book itself is so hard to express without it being spoiled. It speak so much of emotions and the realness of it is so vivid. I guess I would just say, the blurb is enough, teasers here and there, but read the book blind so you'll get to enjoy the story more. One thing is for sure. Kate Stewart, did not disappoint, as I said, this is her masterpiece.

True, when I read this book, I jumped immediately on the first page. I trust Kate and I trust my instinct to read it blind. Honestly the cover alone piqued my interest and I was so excited to dig in. Oh boy, first page and I was hooked. I love how the author started the story. And with just the right pacing, I was engrossed over Rowdy and Michelle.I love both of them. They are perfectly/imperfectly portrayed and my curiosity heightened over them in every situation they're put into. Each are unique in their own ways. I love how strong they are but vulnerable at some point, and I couldn't ask for more better characters than them.

Michelle for instance, she's the heroine you'll want for your book boyfriends. Her attitide towards her past and her present is awe inspiring. She might have a rough past, but her resilience made me root her even more. Gahd! This woman brought girl power to the highest level! And I adore her for that. Rowdy on the other hand, is your usual cop. Bossy, alpha, but then sex on a legs so that's an added bonus right? Way to go fantasize over a cop!! However though, just like Michelle, he's got baggage on his own that mold him on what he is and what he thinks is best for everyone. But make no mistake, when you finally read the book, you'll understand him, and you'll even want to hug him so tight and whisper, "Man up, everything's gonna be alright". And them together? PERFECT CHEMISTRY!! I had so much fun with them. I was swooning, loling, so turned-on.. yeah I know way TMI, but holee WOW their sex scenes is scorching and sizzling!!! I tell you this, they are match made in heaven!!! I was panting just reading the deed. But hoenstly more than that, i admire them too with their highs and lows. Again, you'll fully understand what I'm talking about when you read the book. And I tell you, read it. You'll not gonna regret.

And this quote from Bob Marley,

The truth is, everyone is going to hurt you. You just have to find the ones worth suffering for. — Bob Marley.
It will all made sense. You will appreciate it more reading Rowdy and Michelle's journey. You'll just not gonna admire them. You'll love them even more.

Overall, the book is excellently written there's no question about that. It was on point. I was enthralled, enamored, gutted, but then I fall in love too. This book even with the fun, scorching scenes, angst and heart ache leave me with heart warming feels. It doesn't just speak about love of two souls with a baggage from the past, it speaks highly of everything and I appreciate how it was inspired by true events. It made the story even real. I love it to pieces.
