Release Date: June 24

Jamison Bexley was the one who got away.

If only I hadn’t pushed him.

Seven years ago, he was my everything.

My confidant.

My safe haven.

My best friend.

However, dating was never an option.

Not when his eyes gravitated toward every girl in town but me.

That is, until the curse of bad timing found us both… and struck.

All it took was one night.

One big mistake.

Altering everything we could ever be.

I’m still paying for my sins all these years later.

Life has been downright cruel.

I’m working countless hours trying to hold onto the pieces of my shattered dreams.

Determined that nothing will keep me from my end-goal.

Until Jamison struts back into our small town and gets a first-hand glimpse of my life.

Suddenly, he wants to be my knight in shining armor.

But I don’t need a savior.

Those moments in time are long gone.

And he’s about to realize why.

I have to say that i'm quickly becoming a huge fan of this author and her writing. I think that I must've been asleep for a bit when it came to her but I am wide awake now. Her ability to give you that small town feel romance that you crave, the sweet but domineering hero in her stories, and last but not least the feisty heroines who always know their worth.

Single mom Violet has had a rough few years but the only thing that’s making every sacrifice worth it, is looking into the eyes of her five year old son. There is nothing that she wouldn't do for her little boy and that includes having to be around her ex husband. When she comes face to face with someone from her past for the first time in over seven years, life as she knows it is about to get even more complicated.

This is the second book within the same setting that I’ve read from this author and I fell in love with the first one so much. For this one, I wanted to see more flashbacks of the past and the moment when everything changed for the characters. I needed to feel those things because it had a tremendous impact in the present and I felt like that was missing for me.

I loved that this was a best friend’s second chance romance and Violet and Jamison had a complicated messy history. Those two had a lot to overcome and even though a lot of time had passed, there were still open wounds. I wished that the main issue was talked about more because I didn't fully understand it myself, but in a way I did.

I’m really looking forward to the next book in the series and I can't wait to see what the rest of the characters are going to be up to. If you’re looking for a small town best friend romance, then you should definitely give this one a try.

    1. Thank you Nat!! I appreciate it. No the kid isn't his. It's with her ex husband and I totally agree. Those things piss me off as well especially if it's done in a heartless manner.
