Life comes at you fast and love comes out of the blue...
A small town romance about letting go of the past and learning to live in the moment.
Out Of The Blue by P. Dangelico is now live!
Blue Baldwin takes no horse crap from anybody. Well, actually, that's not entirely true. She does take horse crap. Piles of it. The real kind that is--not the metaphorical one. It kind of goes with the job description when you run a large animal rescue. What she does not take, however, is crap from an entitled movie star who needs to reform his rotten image.
Unfortunately, the farm she manages is in trouble and if she doesn't raise the cash to save it she'll be homeless along with the precious animals who depend on her. So she'll grin and bear the King of Hollywood Screw Ups, and the assistant, and the overprotective brother he brings along. I mean, she takes care of large animals for a living. Isn't that basically the same thing?

Out Of The Blue gave me the small town laid back feel that I was craving and I was so excited to dive further into this story. I was expecting to have this secrecy of a Hollywood romance brewing with a small town girl but I ended up getting so much more.
Blue has always been the type of woman who knows exactly what she wants and she's followed that mindset in her career. Unfortunately due to a personal trauma, she had to give up what she loves and by doing that she found something that was even more worthwhile. With having a peace of mind and a sense of security, Blue is a happy woman that's in her element. But her world is about to get shaken up a bit when she meets the new guests on the ranch.

I have to say that although I went into this story expecting something different, I'm happy with the way everything turned out. I really liked Blue as a female heroine and I loved how she never held anything back. She told you exactly how she felt and it was up to you whether you wanted to stay mad or applaud her. The issue that I had with the story was that I didn't feel the true chemistry between the main characters because they didn't spend a lot of time together in the relationship phase. Towards the end felt like a lot of things were being rushed and I just needed things to slow down a bit.
Aside from that, If you're a you're a small town romance fan, then I think you're going to enjoy this one.

I have been waiting on pins and needles for the conclusion of this story because if I’m being completely honest, I was not a hamper camper with the first book. I needed more from the characters and I didn't feel the connection between as much as I had hoped for. This book to me, was going to salvage everything for me and put a lot of things to bed so we could finally see the true nature and endless possibilities for this couple. Did I get that? Nope.

It’s been five years since Reese has seen Fisher. Between traveling and making a career for herself and trying to find what is best for her, moving on was the best thing that she could have ever done for herself and she has no regrets. But that all changes when returns home and she learns quickly that nothing and no one will ever be the same again.
Due to a major plot twist in this story, my review is going to be short and extremely vague because even though I didn't love this duet as much as the author’s previous books, I know that others will and I don't want to be the one to spoil anything for them. What I will say is that I wanted more out of this duet and I didnt get it. I tried to love these characters as much as I could but due to the nature of the story, things became complicated and quite messy which I was not a fan of. Now don't get me wrong, there were some things that I really liked and for that alone I had to bring my rating up because those moments, made me feel.
Even though this wasn't my favorite duet, I still think that fans of this author will still enjoy it. What didn't work for me, might just be the thing that makes you love this story even more.

Damn T.L… you threw the gloves off in this one didnt you? what a way to make us loathe and love a few characters at the same time with this twisty crazy fucked up dynamic because let’s be real:
Sailor has known that her life wasn't perfect but she had a husband who loved her and would do anything for her. Or so thought. Quickly getting a rude awakening on the type of man that he husband is and what he’s gotten himself into, Sailor is now forced to come face to face with someone who makes the devil looks like a gentleman.
Now facing a new dangerous reality, Sailor has to come to terms with betrayals, temptation, and getting rid of a man who has the power to obliterate her quiet life. They say every king needs a queen but for a woman like Sailor, she'll gladly sit on a throne by herself.
First off I have to say that I don't want part 2 of this book. I FUCKING NEED IT!!! With that cliffhanger, I’m going to be walking back and forth in my house morning noon and night like a crazy person until my mind can be at ease again. I loved the seeing the evolution of Sailor and the grittiness of the story. These characters did things that were unforgivable at times and you wondered ‘how can they be so messed up? but they were and you know what? I loved it!!!
If you're looking for a dark sexy mafia romance series, then you should definitely give this one a try.
Please note that this book ends on a cliffhanger.

The Naked Fisherman by Jewel E. Ann is now live!
USA Today & Wall Street Journal Bestselling Author, Jewel E. Ann returns with an addictive new adult romance about a young woman who discovers years of Sunday sermons didn't prepare her for the many lessons of the crude and sexy man who is now her boss.
It's official.
I'm eighteen and a young woman with endless possibilities on my way to reunite with my mom in Colorado after five years apart--she had a little weed incident in Nebraska.
At the airport, she springs the news on me ... she's leaving for a month of job training. And me? I'm left on my own in the basement she's renting from the fisherman, aka her landlord who lives upstairs.
He's ten years older than me. Never wears a shirt. And makes it hard to remember all the things I learned at Christian Academy.
Did I mention he's also my new boss?

There has never been a Jewel E Ann book that I was not excited to read. This woman takes you on an imaginary journey that is so vivid and colorful, you place yourself into that world intentionally. Hours will go by and you wouldn't even know it or give a damn because they were worth it. These characters were worth it and if you were asked to do it all over again you would gladly lock your door and immerse yourself into Jewel's world.
It's been five years since eighteen year old Reese's world took an unexpected turn. Moving to a new city to be with her mother and figure out what she's going to do with life, new possibilities are endless. But what Reese never anticipated was to be thrown headfirst into a forbidden attraction to her mother's landlord and now her new boss. To say that things are about to get messy is an understatement. What happens when the one thing you want the most, you can't have?

I really enjoyed the banter between the two main characters and I loved how the author gave us a little twist that I certainly didn't see coming. I was invested in these characters and I found myself really caring about them and as much as I did, they also frustrated me a bit. I'm trying to make this review as spoiler free as I can so I won't be going into further detail on that. What I will say is that seeing this is only book 1, I have really high hopes that things will be a little more different going into book 2 and I won't have to do any imaginary bodily harm on some of these characters.

With that being said, I'm very curious and excited to see how the rest of the story is going to go. Will Reese conquer all and become the woman she knows she's meant to be? We'll have to stay tuned.

“Do you have the rings?”
“Oh.” Mac looks back at her purse sitting in the chair. “I do.” She holds up a finger. “Give me just a minute. I’m sorry.”
She drops my hand and sprints over to her bag, bringing out… You’ve got to be joking.
My eyes widen, and I look at the judge, afraid he might actually ask me what the world is in her hand. But he has a better sense of humor than me, fighting off a grin as McKinley steps up and faces me, two black pieces of plastic clutched in her fingers.
“Are those zip ties?” I try to appear like this level of crazy doesn’t scare me.
“Uh-huh.” She smiles tightly. “If they can hold Lu’s bumper, they can hold this marriage together.”
Tomorrow, I will appreciate the thought, but today, I’m just shocked as the judge resumes, instructing each of us to recite vows and zip tie our “rings” on each other’s fingers.
“I now pronounce you husband and wife. Mr. Lexington, you may kiss your bride.”
Hesitation should not be in my wheelhouse. I’m a closer, the best reliever in the bull pen. Being put in stressful situations is my Kool-Aid. But right here, in the middle of the judge’s chambers, my palms start sweating as I reach for my bride, slipping my arms around her hips and pulling them flush with mine. “I’m—”
McKinley’s arms loop around my neck, her lips pressing gently against mine. Her warmth… well, I just react. Gripping her hips, I waste no time taking advantage of her silence…and compliance. Maybe it was zipping that dress, watching as my own hands hid the body my eyes lusted after. She wasn’t mine, not in the sense a normal wife is to her husband, but tell that to my body. A mouth that will one day marry another man after we divorce. A mouth that can’t help but pop off with outlandish comments and argumentative retorts. Yeah, my mind might know this marriage is a sham, but my body—my tongue, using her surprise to slip in, claiming her intimately in front of witnesses—knows we’re in deep. This isn’t a kiss meant for a first date or a deal between friends. The feel of her hands tangling in my hair as she moans deep in her chest is intimate—primal. This is a kiss shared only between a husband and a wife.
And I’m… I’m screwed.
A throat clears. “Congratulations, Mr. and Mrs. Lexington. You may pick up your certificate at the front desk.”
We finally pull back, McKinley dabbing at her lips, her eyes widening as she stares at me. “Yes, thank you, Your Honor.”
With zip ties on our fingers, we grab our certificate, walk out of the courthouse to the car and shut ourselves inside, both of us silent on the way home.
