Every time I get to read K.V. Rose's work, it feels kind of like Christmas. I'm so excited I can barely stand it, and what I get once I open it up is even better than I expected. Nobody can write toxic relationships like this author can, and Ambition is a prime example of that. 

Isadora and Von's novella is nothing short of dark, dysfunctional perfection. This "best friends that won't let themselves be more than that even though they literally own each other's soul" style tale has everything an angst whore/dark romance lover like myself could want. It's a twisted, gritty, gory, raw, emotionally torturous, good time!

Isadora and Von consistently rip each other's hearts out on a daily basis, and I lived. for. it. Von is absolutely obsessed with Isadora, and while Isadora cares deeply for Von, too, she's hyperfocused on her career and position in Writhe, and she won't let anything get in the way of that. As much as I want these two to be together no matter the cost, I respect Isadora's drive and ambition to have the life she wants. It's impossible not to. 

Ambition is violent, hot, and painful. If you enjoy quick, dark, angsty reads that pack an emotional punch, you're going to love it. It's a must read for all K.V. Rose fans, but you don't technically have to have read any of her books to enjoy it.

Don't expect this story to be all tied up in a neat little bow at the end, because you'll be sorely disappointed. There's more to come from these characters, so look at this as an introduction and peek inside the lives of more characters and organizations in the Unsainted world. I promise, you'll enjoy every second of it.
