The Surviving Trace by Calia read
This book had me wanting to go back in time sooooo bad!! I was immediately sucked into the past and I desperately wanted to stay there because these characters will do you in. Their passion, their assertiveness, the secrets that everyone held, it was highly addictive and was one of my top favorites of the year so far.

This was a brand new author to me and I went into this book with some hesitation but boy was I surprised!! I fell in love with this one from the first chapter and what’s not to like? Small town love, close knit friends, do I really need to say anymore?

Everyone that knows me says that I'm a tough one to please when it comes to books and what's emotional for them, I react stone faced. I was so sure that this book was not going to break or change me and halfway through, I became cocky. While I did not break, this book most certainly changed my reading experience and put a huge crack in my armor. My emotions were no longer my own. Fear,desperation, hope,anger, you name it, and I felt it with this book and that is why this little gem a book I'm most certainly thankful for.

💚💚4 Tricks Stars💚💚
I can’t deal. WTF just happened?!!! I had no idea that this was going to turn out this way color me shocked when I read that cliffy! How are we not supposed to pull our hair out in the mean time? How will we function for the next few weeks? Seriously, WHAT.THE FUCK Just happened?!
I’m going to keep this one short and hopefully spoiler free. Grim and Tricks were caught up in this web of utter hurt that was filled with revenge but these two were stronger than ever. They pushed the boundaries of what was acceptable and they did whatever it took to keep each other safe no matter what. Grim was unrelenting in his quest to make things right and Tricks became a force of nature in making sure that at the end of the day, she would be left standing.
I loved that this was more darker and grittier and we got more action. Certain things shocked me, while the rest left me feeling uneasy and sick at times, but I loved it!!
These characters were never perfect to begin with but they had heart, they showed devotion and loyalty when it mattered, and the love they felt for each other was unstoppable. That’s what I love about this series, the unknown and the action just gets your blood pumping but it’s cliffhangers that do you in. Boy do they do you in!!!!!! Excuse me while I go rock in a corner until I can get my hands on the final book!
