But something keeps holding her back and she's determined to find out what really happened that night.
Running into the infamous Jack Flynn, there's a sudden attraction but knowing who his family is, getting involved with each other would be a catastrophe. But when she realizes that he could be the key to helping her, that old family rival will have to take a back seat. For now.
Jack is a fighter. Having suffered his own childhood tragedy, he now has a loving family with brothers and parents he would do anything for. But having a misssing member of the family and seeing the woman that's caused it, makes him a not so nice person. But when Rae wants to do the right thing, would he give her the chance? Or is it a little too late?
I have to say that this story really suprised me. It was suspenseful, with mystery and just the right amount of sexiness to it. Rae was strong heroine and she fought like hell to uncover the truth. Was it dangerous? Absolutely. But she didn't back down and I loved that Jack was along every step of the way. He was brooding at first but underneath it all, he really did care about everything and his actions reflected that. If you're looking for a mystery read, then you should really read this one.
