Book Review: Author Anonymous by E.K Blair

A TRUE STORY told through the voice of New York Times Bestselling author E.KBlair.

She’s an author.
She’s a mother.
She’s a wife.
She’s a fraud.

A woman marked and bound by her own deceit, this is the astounding tale of how one choice knocked her world from its axis forcing her to battle through a year of scandal and betrayal, blurring the lines between reality and fantasy.

This is an intoxicatingly risqué stand-alone true story tangled in lust, heartbreak, and contrition

" Life is messy, and you can't compare reality to fiction because you'll always wind up disappointed.

What in the name of Ed Sheeran did I just read?!! Never in my life have I read such a captivating, destructive, heartbreaking story that made me not only want to pull ALL my hair out, but also had me reaching for top shelf liquor!! As I'm writing this review, I'm still trying to figure out in all that is holy, what I just experienced. Am I in shock, do I need a Valium? HELL.YES. Victoria was certainly an unforgettable character and her journey was very self destructive but one heck of an eye opener.

Based on a true story, this is the tale of one author's desicion to change her life. Victoria had it all. A successful writing career, two beautiful kids and a husband that worships the ground she walks on. But one moment, one life changing moment will forever alter life as she knows it. What happens when fantasy and reality collide? This was one of the most heartbreaking and addictive story that I've ever read and just when I thought it couldn't possible get any worse, I was hit with the cold hard truth that it could and it did.

"With each step, each breath,I'm selfishly pissing all over everything I vowed to love and cherish. I know I shouldn't be doing this, but the simple, self-gratifying reality is- I want to. "

Victoria's journey is not for faint of heart. You will judge her and hate her but you know what? You will also understand her, love her, and applaud her for her honesty. As human beings, we're always saying: I WOULD NEVER. but until you've been in a situation like Victoria's, your I NEVERS are no longer relevent. Your I NEVERS, are now: I DID.

This was a very difficult read and at times I wasn't sure if I was going to be able to finish it because I knew it was real and it could happen to anyone.Ms.Blair took me on such an emotional ride and I have to applaud her for taking this story and making it into a gut wrenching, and soul crushing tale that I will never forget.

"We can't tell our hearts what to do or how to feel. They do whatever the fuck they want-good or bad-right or wrong. They are what lead us through life.

As for the real Anonymous, like many others I'm sure, I was dying to know who this person was. She broke my heart and she made me angry but a huge part of me was rooting for her and her decision. I felt every emotion she was going through and I liked the fact that she wasn't perfect. She caused alot of pain and her road to destruction was the ultimate train wreck. Was it all worth it? You just have to read it and find out.

Please be advised: This story is NOT for everyone. It will push your limits and make you extremely angry at certain times. Alcohol is required. Having a warranty on your electronic devices is a MUST.
