"Love isn't about wanting a hero, its about wanting to be one for the other person".
I have been not so patiently waiting for this book and after the ending in "Lawless", you can understand why. I knew Bear was going to be the ruthless badass that made me fall in love with him since "King".
This story picked up right where "Lawless" left off. Bear is still in prison for the so called murders of Thia's parents and he's trying to find a way to get back on the outside world. Whatever he has to do,he's going to do it to get back his girl. Having a place in plan,he makes his move to get her and bring down his dirty good for nothing father "Chop".
Six months. That's how long Thia hasn't seen or heard from Bear. Growing extremely impatient and having doubts, she decides to attempt to put matters in her own hands and rescue him. I have to say I loved her determination and her strength throughout this story. She didn't want to just sit and wait around for something to happen. She was the very definition of a "ride or die" chick.
I really wanted more action in this story and sadly it didn't happen until about 75% of the story. I wanted more Bear and Thia's love story, and more MC drama. What I got was a new character that I wasn't expecting and some pretty ott stuff. I was completely shocked at the ending and after finishing this since about 24 hours ago,I still don't know how I feel about it. A huge part of me is so freakin happy and the other part is cussing like a MOFO.
If you've been on this crazy journey since the first book, then I highly recommend you finish this out and see the conclusion of Bear and Thia's story. You will have heart problems at the end but it's worth it.
