Synopsis
It was a bad idea from the beginning. He was my brother's best friend and the definition of unavailable. But I didn't care. I had loved him for as long as I could remember. He was worth the risk. He was worth everything. But then he broke my heart as easily as I fell for him. He watched me fall, spiraling out of control, and as I reached for him, he wasn't there to catch me. So I ran. Four years later, I never expected to see him again. He was still my brother's best friend, and he was more unavailable than ever. He looked every bit the bad boy I knew he was, covered in tattoos and a crooked smile. Guarding my heart from him was top priority because Parker James was where good girls go to die. Unfortunately for him, I wasn't a good girl anymore.

I started Where Good Girls Go to Die last night before I went to bed. That probably wasn’t the best idea, because I completely devoured this book from beginning to end! I thought maybe it was short, because of how fast I was moving through it. I even looked on Amazon to see how many pages were in the book. 340 pages! Not short at all! That’s good writing, my friends! This is the only thing I have ever read by this author, but it won’t be for long! I LOVE her writing style, and I can guarantee that I will be one-clicking many more of her books in the future!

Parker is at a strip club with a group of his friends for his bachelor party. The masked woman that walks onto the stage is gorgeous and seems very familiar. When she makes her way to him, she recognizes him immediately. He is the reason she is up on the stage. Parker held her heart in the palm of his hands once upon a time, before he crushed it.

Livy’s brother and Parker’s best friend, Mason, doesn’t have a problem recognizing her even with the mask on…the mask that he promptly rips off and demands that she come back home. She wants to go home, but that is where Parker is. It hurts just to look at him, and now, she has to see him with his fiancé.

Moving back home means Livy needs a new job. When one of her brother’s friend, Brandon, offers her a job as a receptionist at his tattoo shop, she jumps at the chance. It’s not until her first day of work that she learns Parker is Brandon’s partner. Parker is shocked to see Livy when he walks into work. He hasn’t been able to get her out of his head for years, and now he is going to have to see her every day. Parker is getting married to a woman he cares for, but Livy was the love of his life.
How do you learn to be “just friends” with the person that owns your heart? Will they be able to work side by side and keep everything strictly professional? They will have to, because Parker is getting married soon. This isn’t their second chance at love…or is it?

Like I said before, this was my first experience with this author’s work, and I really didn’t know what to expect. Honestly, the title is what made me want to read the book. I had hoped it would be at the least an okay read. Lucky for me, it was much more than that! This book is super addictive! One you start, you won’t want to stop! From the very first page, I knew this was going to be a good time. I was fully invested after the first chapter! I needed to know what happened to break Parker and Livy apart and if they could be put back together.

The story is told in dual point of view that moves back and forth from past to present, so we are able to get their full story in alternating perspectives. Parker and Livy are both likable characters that make you want them to get their HEA. The only disappointing thing for me was the source of the main conflict. It is just a big misunderstanding that could have been completely avoided if they would have talked about it for a few seconds. I HATE that! That’s how I know this was an awesome story, because it didn’t take that much away from my overall enjoyment. It did knock a star off my rating, but I still enjoyed the hell out of it.

Where Good Girls Go to Die is perfectly paced, captivating, sexy, and sweet! I’m so happy that I decided to give this one a try, and you will be, too! Second chance romance fans, this one is for you!!
