I've been dying to read Cold Cole Heart ever since it was announced! Why wouldn't I be? K Webster is the queen of dark romance after all. She writes in many genres, but she crafts the dark ones like no one else can! I swear, I wish I could climb inside her mind for just one day to witness her genius up close.

The way she makes me love and root for even the most disturbed individuals is unbelievable. It actually makes me question my sanity at times. That's some damn good writing! I mean, why else would I feel sorry for someone that has admitted to torturing and murdering other human beings? Why else would I want the victim to help the lunatic that captured her? It's either sensational writing, or I'm a sick motherfucker. I prefer to believe the former. Lol

Cole Heart is a broken, abused, and slightly insane man, but I loved him from the very beginning. You see, Cole wasn't born that way. He was turned into the monster he is by an even bigger one.

A military veteran, he was once a hero that sacrificed his life for his fellow man. One sadistic woman managed to turn that courageous man into a shadow of his former self. She warped his mind and hardened his heart. Her madness created his.

Natalie Dusana knows all about madmen. She has been held prisoner by one for years. The daughter of a famous actress, Natalie lived a beautiful life until someone ripped it all away by murdering her mother. Raped, neglected, starved, and beaten, her life is now filled with nothing but cruelty and hate. 

You wouldn't think these two characters could have a happy ending. Maybe you don't think Cole even deserves one. Their lives are more like horror stories than fairytales, and Cole sounds more like a villain than a hero. That's the beauty of a K Webster novel though! She will find the most unlovable character and make you fall for them. You will find yourself wishing desperately for a twisted happily ever after. I promise you that!
