Publication Date: March 14, 2017

*** From sexy stories with married couples fighting against outside forces to keep their happily ever after in the Sex & Vows series to unexpected pregnancies that lead to happy marriages in the Yeah, Baby series… the Sex, Vows & Babies world is full of over the top alphas, sassy heroines, insta-love, wedding bells, and growing families. Although the wide cast of characters in both series have managed to find the loves of their lives, there’s bound to be plenty more out there who could use Sex, Vows & Babies in their lives. Taylor and Harley’s marriage wasn’t a union of two people
pledging to spend the rest of their lives together. All they were really
promising was to spend ninety days together while every bit of their lives was captured
on camera and broadcasted to millions of people. After that, if they couldn’t
stand each other, they would be free to divorce.
Taylor is a talk show host
that only agreed to this crazy little stunt to boost ratings. Harley is a survivalist
that agrees to marry Taylor after having his heart broken by another woman. Though they are supposed to be a perfect match, it appears
like somebody made a mistake, because Taylor and Harley seems as different from
each other as possible. Taylor spends her time counting down the days until she
can get out of their sham of a marriage, but Harley is determined to make their
marriage work no matter what. He can feel the attraction between them and knows
that if Taylor would just let go and give into it, everything would be fine.
One night, Taylor does just that, but it’s accidentally broadcast
for the world to see. When she wakes up the next morning, all she is worried
about is getting fired, so Harley drives her to work and waits for her to call
if things get too rough. What neither of them know is that when they leave the
building, they will no longer be worried about her job. Taylor and Harley will be
worried about their very survival.
As you all know by now, K. Webster is one of my favorite
authors, so of course I jumped at the chance to read Surviving Harley, and just
like I suspected, it didn’t disappoint. This story is well written, well-paced,
and engaging with three dimensional characters and an entertaining plot. It would
have made a great full length book, because the elements of a full story are all
packed into this little novella. As opposed to most of the books I read by this
author, there is only a few splashes of darkness woven into this story, but it’s
worth mentioning for anyone that may have triggers. If you are looking for a
short, steamy, unique romance or if you are a fan K. Webster’s work, I
recommend this one to you!
