This book is brilliant! Meghan Quinn just delivered a beautiful story, one that exceeded my expectations. Her incredible writing is evident in every words and lines making me hooked and captivated right from the very start. When I thought she's the ROMCOM QUEEN, I thought WRONG because she's more than that. What I just read is jaw dropping and awe inspiring. First few pages and I mean that Prologue, it blew me away. I just went from chuckling to laughing and then pausing for a while because the scene just gripped my fucking heart to the point that I literally stopped for a few minutes just to gather my thoughts and emotions.
Yes, Stroked Long by Meghan Quinn is so different from the first book of this series. Bodi Banks...damn I love this man to pieces. When he was mentioned in Stroked I was curious about him, there's just something with this man that captured my heart and I wasn't wrong. This man is sooooo damn special. Well, aside from the fact that he is Olympic royalty, masterful swimmer, gorgeous human being, and the most closed-off and quiet man you will ever meet. The man is incredible. Not just physically and with his skills but he's incredible at heart. But even then, he is so guarded. What happened in his past made him who he is.
I’m flawed mentally, and my personality doesn’t shine like it should, given my stature and position in the sports community. I’m jaded, skittish, barely able to function in social settings other than ones I’m already comfortable with.
But Thank God, because Ruby Hearts barged in to his life. Oh, she started off as a co-woker to the foundation but turned out to be something more. Who wouldn't? Ruby is funny, quirky, pretty with a beautiful personality. If Bodi do not talk much, this woman could talk for everyone just about anything without worry or care. The closed off Bodi Banks started to come of his shell and boy did that became so much of fun. You know that awkward feeling...those panick attacks and all but once they figured things out, everything was so much of a grin and tummy ache worthy. Those banters and conversations plus Ruby's out of this world questions!!!! You just do not know I laughed and smiled all by myself like a mad woman I even swooned because this man here despite his ticks is one hella to be swooned over. And don't even get me started with their intimate moments because I'll tell you BODI BANKS is a BLAST in bed. Scorching Hot and a drool worthy, goodbye panties!!! They so much had an explosive sexual chemistry and boy they both are a dirty talker!!! ***Fanning
So enough for both of them,you need to read this. I could go on and on but this is best read and experience. Come take a ride with Bodi and Ruby. How it started, what went through and what happened along the way. Because I tell you this, as much as I have enjoyed the book because I really did, their journey is not an easy one. Scenes after scenes held too much emotions pulling you into the story. It's not only rainbows and unicorns, and colorful outfits...penises and vaginas. Oh, did I just write that? Guess I just did because you'll be getting plenty of those. ;)
This book is more than that.
I will cherish the fuck out of her.
I will spoil the fuck out of her.
I will worship the fuck out of her.
But most importantly , I will love the fuck out of her . . . until my dying day.
Great work Meghan. I know you warned us about this book being different from the previous one but still, I wasn't prepared on what's in store for us this time. Stroked Long is a must read!
P.S. I still want to punch throat Bellini Chambers or kick her throat or just do both. But even then, I could not deny the fact that this crazy woman amuses me. ;
