The Vasiliev name is a powerful one.
We rule with an iron fist and we do it well.
Being the eldest, I am Father’s best hope at keeping us at the top of the food chain.

Everything I do has purpose.
Everything I do has reason.
Until her.

I play my games thinking several moves ahead.
Power. Power. Power.
Until her.

The next move requires I marry and soon.
This will strengthen us and secure our position.
But I am not to marry her.

I am to wed the eldest Volkov.
Problem is, her younger sister is the one who awakens my dead heart.
It is her I want in my bed and by my side forever.
Her. Her. Her.

In this game, though, it’s not about what I want.
But maybe it can be about what she wants.

I am Vlad.
Vile. Vicious. Villainous. Vasiliev.
And I will win eventually.

I love it when the book community raved and gush over authors who can definitely write dark romance and deliver it fantastically. In a way, they helped me choose and read books right up my alley and made me realize what I've missed all these years in my life. In as much as I wanna say I love all things dark, I wasn't still that in deep when it comes to this genre. I am still at the tip of the ice berg. My obsession started when my blog sisters kept on raving dark romances so I tried, I have loved it and I have craved it ever since.

The name K. Webster and K . Dukey wasn't even in my radar until they introduced me to them, so I was curious and I needed to experience  myself what's the hype between this dynamic duo. Between juggling myself to personal life and  all the in betweens, Finally, my journey with them started with Vlad. Boy how I really missed a lot in my life. These duo are one of a kind and they just had a new fan in me.

Vlad was an intense read that had me right from the very start. It was a mind game from start to finish and I like how my thoughts was provoked and my memory for all things "V" was challenged. It was addictive and engaging I was so engrossed that turning the pages wasn't a struggle. Intense at some point and hot as hell! Vlad and Irina set a fire that combusted all throughout their journey. I love my hero vicious and filthy and my heroine despite being meek, silent and just a "shadow" has a lot to offer. They were crafted fantastically that every scene together showcased their sizzling chemistry. With a forbidden-ish vibe, just the perfect pacing and a tone that will make your heart pitter patter despite the light angst and a lot of blood, Vlad and Irina left me panting with desire.

Overall I enjoyed Vlad. The author's writing was brilliant and their words has that magnetic pull you can't help but just read, inhale and breathe. Other scenes may have been vague and it may not be as dark as what I expect it to be, but I could not deny the fact that K Dukey and K Webster managed to write a story that stirred my emotions and pushed my limits.

Kudos! I am so excited to read the next installment.

About Ker Dukey

My books all tend to be darker romance, edge of you seat, angst filled reads. My advice to my readers when starting one of my titles…prepare for the unexpected. I have always had a passion for storytelling, whether it be through lyrics or bed time stories with my sisters growing up. My mum would always have a book in her hand when I was young and passed on her love for reading, inspiring me to venture into writing my own. I tend to have a darker edge to my writing. Not all love stories are made from light; some are created in darkness but are just as powerful and worth telling. When I'm not lost in the world of characters I love spending time with my family. I'm a mum and that comes first in my life but when I do get down time I love attending music concerts or reading events with my younger sister.
