Emma Chase, New York Times bestselling author of the Tangled Series & Legal Briefs Series, returns with the first of three sizzling standalone books about a family of racy, irresistible Royals. Nicholas Arthur Frederick Edward Pembrook, Crowned Prince of Wessco, aka “His Royal Hotness”, is wickedly charming, devastatingly handsome, and unabashedly arrogant—hard not to be when people are constantly bowing down to you. Then, one snowy night in Manhattan, the prince meets a dark haired beauty who doesn’t bow down. Instead, she throws a pie in his face. Nicholas wants to find out if she tastes as good as her pie, and this heir apparent is used to getting what he wants. *** Dating a prince isn’t what waitress Olivia Hammond ever imagined it would be. There’s a disapproving queen, a wildly inappropriate spare heir, relentless paparazzi, and brutal public scrutiny. While they’ve traded in horse drawn carriages for Rolls Royces and haven’t chopped anyone’s head off lately—the royals are far from accepting of this commoner. But to Olivia—Nicholas is worth it. *** Nicholas grew up with the whole world watching, and now Marriage Watch is in full force. In the end, Nicholas has to decide who he is, but more importantly, who he wants to be: a King... or the man who gets to love Olivia forever.

Emma Chase has delivered one of the best fictional royal families that I've ever had the pleasure of reading about. She brought her signature humor, along with her infamous cocky hero and let's not forget the ever present strong female heroines that you instantly want to be friends with. Take everything you've ever heard about what it's really like to live that life and sit back and experience it through the eyes of Nicolas Pembrook.
Being the most talked about person before you're even born has been a normal thing for Nicolas Pembrook. Having a herd of paparazzi at you're first day of pre school? Normal. Now being an adult and the future King of Wessco, Nicolas has is immune to everything that comes with being a Royal and he's OK with that.
But when the Queen tells him he has to marry within the next months, he decides to not only get some last minute charity work done but to also enjoy his freedom while he still can. Little does he know that one feisty brunette is about to knock his royal Highness on his butt.
"I've been told my cock is a gift from God. You should test that opinion tonight. You know.....for religion".
Olivia Hammond has always been a responsible hard worker. Taking care of her father and younger sister all while managing the family coffee shop has been her normal for the past few years. So when a hot guy dressed in a tuxedo late at night walks into her shop? She knows that is NOT normal and this guy has the potential to either make her catch a case for kicking the "family jewels"or experience her first one stand stand. What comes out of Nicolas's mouth next is having her set aside bail money.
What happens when the Prince who's accustomed to getting everything he wants, suddenly has to work hard for the woman who refuses to bow down to him?
"She has no idea who I am.....her ignorance is rather....thrilling. There are no expectations, no hidden agendas, no reason to pretend- what she sees is what she gets. And all she sees is me."
I've said this before a million times and I'm going to say it again. I LOVE when a story has a lot of humor in it and it's not forced or fake. Everything about this felt easy and natural and I loved that so much. From Nicolas and Olivia's relationship to the indivisual family members drama, was balanced out perfectly and I apprecitated that. I can't wait to see what's in store for another character and that's all I'm going to say about that. In the meantime, don't miss out on this one!!
☆☆☆☆☆5.0 "HIS ROYAL HOTNESS" STARS!!!☆☆☆☆☆
I was known before I was born and my name will be blazoned in history long after I’m dust in the ground. Infamy is temporary, celebrity is fleeting, but royalty…royalty is forever.
Ahhhh the things you do for love....
This is the very first thought that comes to mind when I finish reading the book. It's so magical and enthralling I was so addicted right from the very first page. I feel like I was a child reading a modern fairy tale it was so freaking good I was so in love right away. That feeling when you were on a journey with prince and princess you feel like it's Cinderella and Sleeping beauty rolled into one with a very hot alpha prince and steamy and scorching scenes and a love story so magical and inspiring...DREAMY!!!
First few pages and I was in for some entertaining journey into royalties. With a story telling so vividly written, I much appreciated everything. First with that cover that made every bookwhores googly with their eyes and panting for lust with such a masterpiece, I admit I am one of them and when I read this line,
"I love my bed. It was an eighteenth birthday gift from the King of Genovia. It’s a four-column, gleaming piece of art, hand-carved in the sixteenth century from one massive piece of Brazilian mahogany. My mattress is stuffed with the softest Hungarian goose feathers, my Egyptian cotton sheets have a thread count so high it’s illegal in some parts of the world, and all I want to do is to roll over and bury myself under them like a child determined not to get up for school."
Oh how I thought of selling my arm just to get to duck on those covers or roll over with the prince and lick him all over. Damn!another book boyfriend!!!Another damn because Emma Chase really has a way with words and that cover just made sense.
With everything in my power, I stayed late into the wee hours because I just cannot put the book down. I have smile and laughter plastered in my face. I keep on turning the pages because I was so entertained I had so much fun my excitement on how everything will turn out is evident on how I devoured every words and lines. It was not just funny and sexy but it was more. It's so adorable and sweet even lighthearted weighed so heavily. It was flawlessly written and shows Emma really has a way with words. This line made me even chucke, "If Helen launched a thousand ships, this girl could raise a thousand hard-ons." and I might have almost highlighted every lines. I am just so damn in love with everything. Even the secondary characters had a very special place in my heart. And when I finished it, I realized this is just more than a modern fairytale, this is more than just anybody's childhood fantasy, this is more than just "prince meets waitress story" because what I just read is a definition of what you can do, sacrifice and give up for love. For Nicholas and Olivia, what started off as a drunken proposition for a one night stand to wooing and fling turned out to be so much more. In as much as chemistry is concerned they cannot go wrong.Their's is not just undeniable, their perfect for each other and them together is just explosive. Five months is more than enough for feelings to grow, but what can they do when even law prohibits them to be together? When their doom from the very start? Olivia's a commoner, while Nicholas is a royalty, Is love enough to conquer all?
I'll leave it here when I can go on and on because I want you to have a full time experince but please let me atleast scream this on top of my lungs,
THIS IS EMMA CHASE WITH HER ROYALTIES AT IT'S FINEST!!! SHE NAILED IT AND OWNED IT LIKE NO OTHER QUEEN CAN!
Highly recommended!
She’s even lovelier than I remembered, than I dreamed. Delicate midnight tendrils frame a face that belongs in a museum—with stunning dark sapphire eyes that should be commemorated in vibrant oils and soft watercolors. If Helen launched a thousand ships, this girl could raise a thousand hard-ons.
She’s prettily made, the top of her head coming only to my chin, but fantastically curvy. Great full tits that strain the buttons of a wrinkled white blouse, shapely hips in a black skirt tapering to a tiny waist I could wrap my hands around and toned legs encased in sheer black tights finish off the whole package very nicely.
An unfamiliar anxiousness fizzes like soda in my gut.
“The door was open,” I explain.
“It’s broken.”
Logan flicks at the lock. Security is his life, so a broken lock would annoy him like a puzzle with the final piece missing.
“What do you want?”
She has no idea who I am. It’s in the defensive way she holds herself and the accusatory note in her voice. Some women try to pretend they don’t recognize me, but I can always tell. Her ignorance is rather…thrilling. There are no expectations, no hidden agendas, no reasons to pretend—what she sees is what she gets. And all she sees is me.
My throat is suddenly a barren wasteland. I swallow, but it’s difficult.
“Well, he’s desperate for some pie.” I hook my thumb at Simon. “And I…wanted to apologize for the other evening. I don’t normally act that way. I was on a bit of bender…”
“In my experience, people don’t do things when they’re drunk that they wouldn’t do normally.”
“No, you’re right. I would’ve thought all those things, but I never would’ve said them out loud.” I move closer, slowly. “And if I’d been sober…my opening bid would’ve been much higher.”
“She crosses her arms. “Are you trying to be cute?”
“No. I don’t have to try…it just sort of happens.”
