He’s the president now, but he’s still Matt. My first crush, my first love. And I know that after Matt, I’ll never want or love another man again.
"The air is sucked out of me as if by a vacuum. A Hamilton vacuum." This line is just the perfect description on how I felt reading the book. I was so invested and captivated that I jumped right into it and never stopped reading until the very last page. First few pages and I was immediately hooked. I was lovin' it because it was sooooo damn good and I am really invested into the story.To sum up? I was BLOWN AWAY with this duet's conclusion. It's the perfect way to end this story and I couldn't ask for anything more.
You can never really go wrong with Katy's books, that I am sure of. So with that cliffy in the first book I was dying to know how Charlotte and Matt's story will end. Will they have their HEA or will these two forget their affair and just leave it behind? Though I know for sure an HEA is coming our way, I am much more interested and curious how the author will play it out without being so predictable and "meh". And boy, I was in awe with with this author's writing skills. The story turned out so beautiful you cannot help yourself devouring it. It was a page turner and enjoyable read. I was swooning and I feel like butterflies is dancing on my belly and I was just WOW, just give me some more Katy!!!
Now let me use another of her lines, "Butterflies. Mean, evil little butterflies are flapping in the very core of me." Now who wouldn't? Matt Hamilton and Charlotte Wells...if you love them in the first book, I am so sure you'll love them even more with this conclusion. There are no better characters than them in this story because it was well portrayed. Their chemistry is sizzling and my god, the sexual tension was just so thick, it was all over right from the very beginning and then became so explosive. it was sexy and so passionate. Reading their journey is like reading something you don't want to end because it was just so right to get lost into their bubble and just stayed there. It's like reading something and then begging for more not because you're not satisfied but because it was satisfying enough you don't want it to end.
To conclude, Commander In Chief is a fantasy I so wanted to become a reality.
