Book Review: Broken Prince by Erin Watt

July 25, 2016

These Royals will ruin you…

From wharf fights and school brawls to crumbling lives inside glittery mansions, one guy tries to save himself.

Reed Royal has it all—looks, status, money. The girls at his elite prep school line up to date him, the guys want to be him, but Reed never gave a damn about anyone but his family until Ella Harper walked into his life.

What started off as burning resentment and the need to make his father’s new ward suffer turned into something else entirely—keep Ella close. Keep Ella safe. But when one foolish mistake drives her out of Reed’s arms and brings chaos to the Royal household, Reed’s entire world begins to fall apart around him.

Ella doesn’t want him anymore. She says they’ll only destroy each other.

She might be right.

Secrets. Betrayal. Enemies. It’s like nothing Reed has ever dealt with before, and if he’s going to win back his princess, he’ll need to prove himself Royally worthy.

"We told each other lies. We lied to ourselves because neither one of us was willing to admit the truth- we couldn't resist each other".

Well f*ck me  sideways and call me a hoe because I freakin loved this! If you thought "Paper Princess was epic, you're in for one hell of a ride and it's up to you whether or not you stay sober for it. These characters were beyond messed up and so cruel that I questioned some of their mental capabilities becaause let's be real: They were cray cray!

After the cringeworthy cliffhanger in "Paper Princess", I kept wondering how in the world is Reed going to get himself out of this situation and win back Ella? Will  she forgive him and take him back? Or will she go down in history as the one that got away? All of these questions had me going crazy and I couldn't wait to uncover the many dirty little secrets and lies that made up the "Royal Family".

Reed is on the road to forgiveness. Having Ella walk away from him was one of the most painful thing that he's ever had to go through and he's willing to do whatever it takes to win her back. Is he going to play nice with others to get her back? Or will he be royal prick? Gettting Ella to forgive him was not going to be an easy task but he was more than ready to win her trust back.

"I can play this two ways.  I can walk away. Or I can fight for you. Guess which one I'm doing? "

Ella was completely devasted by Reed's actions and the only thing she wanted to do was just leave the entire Royal Family. Reed meant a lot to her and her friendship with Easton is what kept her more grounded amd protective of the family. But finding out one of the many Royal family secrets had her running for the hills. Can she forgive Reed or will he soon be a thing of the past?

I loved that we got Reed's pov in this story because he certainly had a lot to say. His feelings for Ella and his loyalty for his family were portrayed in a way that made you look at him with different eyes. He was sincere when it mattered, mean when it was necessasry, and fiercely protective when he felt threatened. If you lovd him in the previous book, then you're going to go in full on stalker mode for him in this one.

Now for the ending. Wtf man?!!! I knew something was going to happen. I felt it from the moment I read the first chapter and I was prepared for it, but two shoccking moments just made me want to cut a bitch! These authors have some serious work to do for "Twisted Palace" so until then, I'll  just be over here going crazy.
