Imogen There is no way we can still love and cherish one and other. When I married Theo Walsh, the rough, bearded townie who worked construction on my family’s summer house, I’d found my happily ever after. That was before the fighting. Before the jealousy. Before the infertility. We’ll be divorced long before death does us part. But to secure my place in the family dynasty, there is just one more hoop I have to jump through. And I need him to do it. Faking the marriage we once thrived in will gut me. Especially with the secret I’m carrying. Theo I would have sacrificed for her until the end of time. My job. My home. My happiness. I’d given it all up to marry her. That’s how much I loved Imogen Weston, the daughter to one of the world’s richest families. From the day we met, I’d done nothing but try to live up to the man she expected to be with. And now, I was done. Sure, I’d complete this one final ask of hers, even if it destroyed me. But I’ve made her promise the one thing that might save me. She swore that after she got everything she ever wanted, she wouldn’t look back. I made my wife vow to leave me forever.

Down We’ll Come Baby is a heartbreaking story of one couples journey to happiness. It was messy, selfish at times, and painful but you couldn’t help but want more. You wanted to see the heartbreak, feel the love, understand the anger, and embrace the unknown because at the end of the day, you were rooting for them. After all, love always wins right?

Imogen Walsh is at a crossroads in her life. Her marriage is on the brink of being over, her professional career is at a stand still, and the one that she truly wants more than life itself, she’ll never be able to have. Starting over and trying to appease her parents sounds like the best thing she can do right about now no matter how it looks to her soon to be ex husband. But before she can make it to a top position in her family’s company, she has to go through a few hoops and that plan includes her husband and their broken marriage.

From the moment he laid eyes on the blonde beauty, Theo Walsh was a goner falling head first. He knew that Imogen was the woman he was going to spend the rest of his life with and there was nothing in this life that he wanted more. For five years he’s had this woman that he’s called his wife, lover, best friend and soul mate. For five years, they’ve been through it all but it just wasn’t enough to save their marriage. When a request is made for their divorce to go on hold, that moment changes the course of Theo and Imogen’s life. Will these two find their way back to each other? Or will they move on?

“Is that why divorce is so brutal? Because it takes two people who once shared love and dismantles every emotion between them until they don’t know each other at all?”

I really loved that this story was about a married couple. We got to witness their ups and downs through certain flash backs and were crossing our fingers that by some miracle, these two would find their way back to each other. I loved that Theo never held any punches and he was always honest with what he wanted and where he stood. He loved Imogen with a passion that was never questionable and he just wanted HER. I did have a major issue with Imogen if I’m being completely honest and because of that, I didn’t connect with her as much as I would’ve liked to and I felt like she needed to do more.

Aside from that, I enjoyed this one and I think if you’re a fan of this author’s writing, so will you.
