The Ghostwriter
By Alessandra Torre
Genre: Psychological Suspense / General Fiction
Standalone, 316 pages
SYNOPSIS:
I have three months to write the last book of my life. Three months to confess the details of that day, and how it changed everything for me.
My name is Helena Ross. I’ve written fifteen romance novels, ten of which have become international bestsellers. But this one isn't a romance. This novel holds only the truth, which I have run away from for four years. The truth, which I have hidden from the police, from my loved ones, from the world.
This final book?
It's my confession.

A perfect morning. A perfect husband. A perfect daughter. A perfect lie."
How can one book mean so much? How in the hell a story can make you feel so much? Can grip your heart and wrench it so tight it's slowly killing you?
When you don't expect anything less from an author, you will read whatever she writes. Thrilled even when you get your hands in it much more when you get a chance to read it in advance. And that was me. I am a massive Alessandra Torre fan that whatever she writes, I read it. It's like Christmas for me always because she's that good and her works always leave me with a good impression. However, reading The Ghost Writer is a much more different journey. It was so difficult, so painful, suspenseful and even heart breaking. God! Even the mystery was killing me. But you know what? I love this book with all my heart. It did not just left me with an impression, it left a mark.
The Ghost Writer is a poignant story that tested my emotions and sanity. It's rawness and depth captivated me right from the very beginning. I could not put the book down. I was magically lost into Helena Ross' world with Alessandra's brilliant writing. And it wasn't easy. The moment I got invested in it, I knew I'll be emotionally drained. I wasn't wrong. As I turn from one page to another, I am surprised and in awe. My emotions were all over the place. The twists and turns I never saw coming made my jaw dropped and my heart in knots. I didn't know if I'll scream or cry, only to realize tears were streaming down my face already. It hurts too much I pained all over.
Gah! I have never thought this is my kind of book. The kind of genre that could twist my heart, kill me with suspense, and in the end left me with rollercoaster of emotions and a book hungover. *sigh And this is not even romance, not even erotica.. hell it wasn't even that twisted books that feeds my hungry soul. This book.. Alessandra Torre's The Ghost Writer is a MASTERPIECE! An epic story I wont forget because it's uniqueness and the emotions that comes with it struck me straight in the heart. Now, several hours later... I'm still basking all the feels. Inhaling it so deeply and living with it.
Now,do me favor. Read this book. It might not be romance, but the ride you'll get to experience will surely be one you'll never forget.
