I’m an animal, a member of the Sin City Outlaws motorcycle club that isn't capable
of human compassion. So I’ve been told anyway.
Raven is my club’s prisoner. I’ve been ordered to break her. It should be easy
given my violent history. But being this close to a woman—this woman—for the
first time in a long time, is like sharing company with the demon Lilith herself.
She’s my perfect toy. Filled with a dark rage. Blessed with perfected beauty.
Sinfully sweet and wickedly divine. Everything about her solicits the demons
inside me
I want to hear her screams. I want those big, dark eyes looking up at me—silently
begging me for mercy. I want to be her heaven…and her hell.
My desire for her is forbidden. My infatuation is illicit. I’m betraying my club.
And if the wage of my sin is death, then this woman is going to get me killed.

This series just keeps getting better and better! I knew machete was going to bring the little bit of darkness that I craved from him and I certainly got it. “Illicit” was a no holds barred, action packed story from start to finish and I’m so glad that I took a chance on this series because the “Sin City Outlaws Men are my absolute favorites.

“When I break you, can I keep you?”

Known as the “Enforcer” for his club, Machete is the one who isn’t afraid to get sh*t done. While your over there figuring out the best way to kill someone without getting messy, Machete has already done it and he’s now smoking a cigarette in boredom. So to say you that he’s not quite right in the head is an understatement but just don’t tell him that. Now on club business, Machete’s new job is to imprison and get critical information from an enemy that has caused them nothing but pain. But that enemy is someone who he never saw coming because little does he know, she’s just as crazy and ruthless as he is.

“She’s the kind of crazy you could get addicted to quickly.”

Raven isn’t your average girl. From being kidnapped at a young age and force to become a weapon of destruction, the only thing that she knows is darkness and because of that, she’s hurt someone that belongs to the “Sin City Outlaws”. Knowing that her time is limited because these men aren’t to messed with, Raven comes face to face with the red haired monster himself. With a mind like theirs, how long will they go without killing each other?

Raven and Machete were seriously messed up in the head to the point that every time they were together, I kept wondering if it would be their last because someone was going to die! Emotions doesn’t mean anything to both of them so seeing their internal struggle with each other was different and I found myself rooting for them because they deserved to have something normal if only for a moment.

I love that we always get these strong bad ass heroines in these stories and Raven was no different. This girl went through hell and back and she knew no matter how hard she tried, she was never going to be normal and she accepted it. Machete was an unexpected complication in her life but he brought out a different side to her and she did the same with him and I enjoyed seeing them in that element.
If you haven’t read this series yet, I really don’t know what you’re waiting for. “Illicit” will have you wanting more of the “Sin City Outlaws”.

“Kill me?” she whispers, her fingertips caressing my cheek. I want to push my
body onto her, and feel her warmth against my skin one more time before I take
her life and her body cools. I’m going to enjoy her. She’s dark and twisted.
I smile and bend down to get closer to her. Running my hand through her soft
black hair I pet her, brushing her loose hairs away from her face. Fuck, I’m excited
to play with her, hear her scream and watch her fear me. To quickly kill someone
as pretty and smart as her would be a goddamn waste. Like breaking a toy before
you got a chance to play with it, this needs to be done slowly.
“Oh no sweetheart, the fun is just about to start,” I threaten in a low whisper.
Something dark passes over her face, but she doesn’t break eye contact. It’s almost
as if she sobers completely.
Suddenly a foot strikes me in the chest and I sail into the side of the van.
