Two things that made me want to read this book immediately was the fact that this was a small town romance and we had a grumpy older cowboy. From that point on, I knew that I needed to read this and I'm glad that I took a chance on a story like this one.

Ruby wants nothing more than to live her life without pause. Living with a heart condition has taught her that time is precious and you have to live life to the fullest. A good way to start is doing a cross country road trip and making lasting memories. Stumbling in a new town, Ruby decides to stay for a while but by doing that, she crosses paths with a grumpy rancher who's life is more than complicated.



Charlie Montgomery has been through hell and back but he's content with his life now. Being a ranch owner for the past ten years hasn't been easy but along with his brothers, they're doing good. Until one incident threatens to derail all of their hard work and put a target on their backs. Knowing deep down that the next few words out of his mouth is going to change his life and his ranch, Charlie agrees to let a newcomer handle his social media management. But what he doesn't expect is to fall for a woman who's only temporary.



I really enjoyed this story for the most part. I loved seeing the day to day life of the ranch and I really liked Charlie's brothers. They added more to the story and along with it being an emotional read at times, they were there to balance a few things out.

The only issue that I had with this one is that the story did drag a bit and it was too long. I also didn't like what a certain character purposely chose to do because a lot of things could have been avoided.

If you're looking for emotional small town cowboy romance, then this one's for you.

I loved that this started out as a love/ hate thing. From the prologue we saw Noah and Olivia's first interaction with each other and knew that it wasn't going to be all roses. We saw the after effect of that night and how it changed and shaped Olivia into a role that she loves more than anything. Their back and forth banter was enjoyable for a while but I was not a fan of the inner dialogue too much. I also felt like certain things got smoothed over too quickly and was wrapped up in a leave it alone bow.

If you're a fan of second chance romance with a little bit of drama, then I recommend you go with this one.

The Problem With Dating was the type of story that I needed in this very moment. I've gone super dark with a lot of my stories, had over the top drama that gave me anxiety, and certain storylines that left me exhausted. I knew what I was getting into when I picked up this book and I'm so glad that I did because it reminded me why I fell in love with this author in the first place.

Growing up in a small town in Honey Creek Illinois, Yara knows what it's like to be talked about. Newly divorced and trying to start over is never easy but it's even more complicated when your ex is the local sheriff and wants another chance. When the owner of a new upscale restaurant moves to town along with his business, things are about to get a whole lot more interesting in the gossip mill.



I really enjoyed this grumpy/Sunshine trope. Alex and Yara were the complete opposites of each other but they were perfect together in every way. Alex was strong, protective and he showed Yara what it was like to be loved the right way and I liked that. This was a clean read which I honestly was not expecting but I loved that it was like that. You felt the attraction and connection between the characters and there was just something so natural and easy about their relationship. It felt like their souls knew each other before they did and I loved their interactions with each other.


These characters had their fair share of loss and pain but they've managed to do what's best for them and that was to find happiness again. There were a few hiccups along the road and some characters definitely needed to be throat punched but overall I really enjoyed this one and I'm excited to read the next book in the series.
